and what a great game it was. The game was televised live on Comcast CSS and the sponsors got their money's worth! Th defensive play of Knowles, Mann, Dean, Ashley and Jaurigue continues to impress and getting better game after game. Frierson and Penland continue to lead the offense, keep it boys!

Ans how about the halftime show? The Mays band just rocked the house with renditions similar to those that you saw on "Drumline". And the Wildcat Band once again entertained the crowd with a great production.

The game came down to a last second field goal; sometimes you loose tough ones and this it was. But back to practice Monday Wildcats as we have another big game on Friday.

Go Wildcats!

Final from Alexander...

Sandy Creek 28 - Alexander 7

Sandy Creek (Ranked #5) should move up in the polls this week due to a loss by #3 Chamblee. Dear God, could Citizen Sports ignored Sandy Creek really be ranked in the Top 4 after only three weeks???

We'll have to wait and see on GA Prep because we know the Citizen won't make any mention of it!

They weren't ignored - they were on the road this week and we didn't get a score reported to us until this morning.

The GaSports.com/GACA rankings come out on Tuesday - we will certainly mention where they are ranked.

With Whitewater's loss they will be the only local team in AAAA in the top 10.

I don't know how you would consider us ignoring the team though - we taped their first game of the year - it's here on the web site if you want to relive their overtime win over the Indians. And we also have a pretty in-depth story on their win over Shaw here too.

Once we talk to Coach Walker and get the final stats, you'll see the same for their most recent win.

Michael,
“Chin music” is your typical fair weather fan that is only blogging because his team is 3-0; the real Creek fans know that you guys do a wonderful job not just covering the Creek but all the schools in the area, keep up the good reporting!

I'm a parent of a SC football player. I don't feel like we are ignored by The Citizen. I watched SC/WW volleyball game on line here just yesterday. Thanks for keeping up with all of SC sports.
The game last night was not near the heart stopper the first two were ... thank goodness! Alexander had a few giants on their line and I was surprised that it seemed we pushed them back almost at will. I think our defense held them to around 125 yards total offense. We still have improvements we need to make, but I think we are getting there. We had three starters who did not play and their replacements, for the most part, got the job done. Keep it up Creek!!!
