Hutch - R U OK? The family? And you have been quiet.

Muddle - how is your wife? And the rest of your family? Gosh those youngun's you have sure think ma and pa are great! That's wonderful.

Myself and the family are OK I guess, I've been quiet here because my heart just ain't in blogging lately. We have the football game tonight, and that will take my mind off my grief for awhile. I'll be OK in time, thanks for asking. Thanks for the e-mail you sent me, it helped a lot and I meant what I said in the P.S. Have a good weekend.

Thanks for asking about my wife.

We are, in fact, sitting in an Emory hospital room as I write. She had another surgery on Tuesday, and we are hopeful of going home today. Looks like I'm once again the head nurse once we get home. I'll try not to faint.

As for the (not so) "younguns," we think pretty highly of them, too!

Hutch, you remain in my thoughts and prayers. I wish I could say the pain goes away but it just gets easier to bear. Even after more than twenty years I miss my mom and sister and there are days I start to pick up the phone to call my mom and ask how to make something or just to discuss something with her. I find there are so many things I never got to say to her or my sister. The one thing that makes it easier to take is that I know I was there for both of them and did everything I possibly could to make what time they had as good as possible. I know from your posts what a good person you are and know you were a great brother and there for her. Hold your memories close to your heart and take them out often--they will be so bittersweet but so precious to you.

Muddle--Sorry your wife is having to go through more surgery. You and yours are in my thoughts and prayers also. Stay strong and know you have friends who will be there if you need anything. I see from your posts that your children are not young but if there is ever a time you do need babysitting of any kind--let me know on here and I will figure out how to contact your. I'm pretty good at that, regardless of age!

Wulf--So glad you are having a great vacation. Enjoy every moment of it. Keep us posted.

I'm doing great. We are in the Great Smokey Mountains.

Got one more week and then we head home.

Thanks for asking.

Wulf
