Atlanta & connecting counties!

There is not a day that goes by usually where something stupid doesn't happen in the Area above! I can't think it is stupid, it has to be deliberate.

Today's:
Dekalb County announced that they had 40,000 unpaid fines by the police department.
They are giving the offenders a month to pay them with no penalty and no jail time.
If they don't pay them, then Two cops have been appointed to visit the offenders and take some kind of action!

They did this once before and got a little money, but still have at least 40,000 (I'll bet it is much more than that.)

OK, 2 cops doing say an average of 8-10 visits a day (week-days, I assume) would only take 4,000 days!

That is 16 years----assuming no more bad tickets were written during that 16 years!

How will the court system handle all this?

Where have the cops been all this time?

Didn't anyone ask them to go get these guys?

Won't half of them have moved or be totally gone by now?

Oh, the questions could go on, but I guess there is enough of us who are fools and immature enough to think it will work!
