Political trash talk

When both parties put forth such poor candidates, there’s not much conversation except criticizing the opposition. Wouldn't it be nice if America was discussing the merits of Sam Nunn and Colin Powell instead of bad-mouthing Walks -on- Water and the Old Fogy.
