Sandy Creek's Alex Chisum caught the winning touchdown pass with 10 seconds to go to improve the Patriots to 2-0 on the season and give them a 17-16 win over Shaw. Rajion Neal scored the other touchdown and Zach Lopez connected on a field goal in the victory.

Fayette County dropped to 0-2 this season after falling to Houston County 31-0. The Tigers committed seven turnovers in the loss.

Starr's Mill (0-2) fell to Villa Rica 22-17.

Whitewater (2-0) defeated Upson-Lee 21-7. Tyler Morgan, Chris Wingate and Thomas Frierson scored touchdowns for the Wildcats.

Landmark Christian (1-1) beat Warren County's Screaming Devils 20-0.

Northgate (1-1) lost to Alexander 35-14.

East Coweta (1-1) beat Mundy's Mill 34-0.

Saturday's score

McIntosh quarterback Cam Porter threw a touchdown pass to Bradely Larson and ran for another but the Chiefs (1-1) lost to Newton 22-15.

as Alex Chisum caught the touchdown pass. Rio Johnson marched the Patriots down the field with his arm and legs to get into position and threw that pass to Chisum.

I'll agree with whatsup, Sandy Creek never gave up. We had the game won, coughed up the ball and Shaw scored late in the fourth. They could have easily gave up and just decided "we can't beat'em" but they didn't.

This team is showing great spirit and character. Way to go CREEEEEEEK!

To the band members and football players and supporters of Sandy Creek all these guys gave it all they had. They refused to give up.
I am not sure who threw the ball to the player to make the last touch down but they were both remarkable. Throwing the ball to the other player and he was close to the goal and touchdown with a few seconds to go.

Band members and football players you always make us proud. Thank you!

Shaw you guys played a great game also and band members great job.

Who kept cheering and telling those boys not to give up with all that was left of our voices till the end.

whatsup - don't forget the cheerleaders and our mascot when thanking people. They do an awesome job cheering on our team and keeping the crowd pumped up. What a game!!!
