Stormwater tax: Where is Logsdon’s no-tax pledge?

Let’s see if my opinion about this comes true.
I believe mayor and council will pass this [stormwater utility] measure unanimously. They chose not to listen to the voice of experience, but to listen to Integrated Science who doesn’t have a vested interest in this matter.
Oh, wait, they do have a vested interest since they will receive all the engineering work related to the stormwater utility.
The maintenance and drainage of the roads falls under Public Works. This has been funded through the General Fund. Now we get to pay for it TWICE.
Mr. Logsdon, you ran on a platform of fiscal responsibility. This is the first proposed tax increase since you took office and we are taking notes to see if you were sincere about that promise. The stormwater utility meeting on Jan. 19 was a joke.
I think it is time for Peachtree City’s upper management and financial team to get an enema. But then I believe that would leave them translucent.

Come on, not even the Logsdonee's believed that one man could stop tax increases. Anyone who says they will not increase taxes is full of it, I do not even think Logsdon believed himself! As far as stormwater goes, I can see the power point on the city web site that outlines the fees and the collection of fees. Am I the only one that does not know what exactly the improvements are that are going to completed to "fix" our stormwater problems? The presentation talks about water sampling by Adopt A Stream. All of you tax payers are aware of how these samples were collected and measured right? By your children at McIntosh etc. Yes all the samples are collected by high school students. Well do you think the kids make up any of the numbers? Hum.... I know several occasions that my child (not that I agree with it or support it) has not done her water sampling and has made up the numbers. I hope we are not basing anything we do on the water sampling our students are doing! Gosh, now that we are going to have all this money from the new tax we can pay the kids to collect the water samples! Hot dog!
