A burglary early Friday morning at J&R Clothing on Ga. Highway 85 in Fayetteville resulted in the theft of an undetermined amount of merchandise. There were no witnesses to the incident.

Officers responded to an alarm call at approximately 3:30 a.m., said Fayetteville Police spokesperson Steve Crawshaw, and found the front door glass had been broken out with a brick.

Crawshaw said clothes and hangers were scattered around the store. An inventory is being taken to determine the amount of clothing stolen, he said.

Crawshaw said there were no witnesses to the burglary and surveillance photographs are not available at this time.

A short haired, vertically challenged, overly plump female with a penchant for men's boxers? Some women love to wear them. Of course I have no way of knowing this personally!

Hope things are going good for you. As for our buddy Cyclist, I think right now he must be visiting royalty 'cause it sounds like he is spending a lot of time on the throne. Guess I will have to have a change of heart and throw away that voodoo doll I made of him out of envy for his world travels.

Take care and enjoy.

Bet it is beautiful there. Enjoy yourself. I did take the pins out of that doll--meant no harm--was just a little envious of his many travels! But want him to stay his majestic self as I have yet to see him in his biking shorts--now once I have seen him I can't promise what I will do! Be happy and healthy.

Made it back to the ranch Friday evening. It was not an enjoyable flight even though I was in seat 2A.

On Thursday, the company I was reviewing took me out to lunch. This was a typical Naples lunch affair with cheeses, breads, fish, shrimp, wine, calamari, octopus, other assorted little fishes, salami, ham, and of course fine Italian wine. It hit my stomach like a heavy brick. I was trying to watch it since I had not eaten breakfast. I paid the price of this meal on the way back home and I still dealing with it today. ugh!!!

Thank goodness next week's job is only in Alabama.

Sorry the Italian food didn’t digest well.

I love Italian food but it doesn’t love me.

Must be nice being flown all over the world on that private jet.

I’m just sitting by this little mountain stream with a cold glass of ice tea taking in the scenery.

Bet you get better gas mileage pulling it than we do driving ours.

I think we got about 5 miles per gallon coming up here.

This WI-FI service is not too good I keep losing my connection.

I was talking with another camper and he has a new satellite system that he says works better than using WI-FI.

Have you had any experience with such a system?

We have satellite for TV and it works well.

But watching the sunrise over the mountains makes you forget about the mpg thing.

Thanks!!! We went from tent to pop-up to trailer. I get about 13 MPG on the tow down to the beach.

As for the wifi service, it's on again off again at the beach especially, if there are a lot of people banging at its door. I see where Bellsouth is offering some sort of wireless service. I might explore that.

Satellite for TV, nah I'm too poor for that. But what I do like is when a big rig parks next to me while I'm at the beach. This provides plenty of shade. Smiling

are we going to have to put up with other counties' GARBAGE? Fayette county is seriously geographically disadvantaged.

I wish there was something to do to limit the flow of trash coming in from Clayton and South Fulton. Getting rid of a regional shopping center that caters to a trashy region might be a start.

Racial Bias, a staple Luxury of white working poor under-educated.
Is it dying off?

Any white that has worked his/her way up through the ranks having little more than a High School diploma has become known as the white “Blue Collar Worker”. When a realization of knowing less, while minutely understanding words being stated by a person of color is threatening, it also makes one feel unstable and causes panic. Especially, when the words are of eloquence and enunciated correctly.

Relying on personal hubris and what you have been taught, many swear by and stick with the rankers their parents drilled into them (Blacks Hispanics and People of color are inferior). The given has always been that these people are animal like and there is NO possible way they will ever be of vital importance or have any substance! When this has been a staple in your life you become dismayed when you find out this is not true.

Convenient crutches have become the norm; Stereotypes & Hyperbole are the conversation and text of this group. You cannot have a conversation based on issues and substantive facts because the whole group in any circle will result to a mantra of stereotypical chants interruption and hyperbole!

Actual Issue # 1 people are losing their homes, jobs, war.
Bias change the issue into they do not work they are lazy, on welfare. Send criminals to war.

Their vocabulary consists of ‘grouping’ words used to demean thugs, hip hop, 9th ward, illegitimate, out of wedlock, welfare, food stamps, Katrina, baby mama, etc.

While younger educated people are less likely to hold these biases older educated folks also do not rely on such inadequate information. Knowledge the voice of reason is creeping in the fewer illiterate people in positions of power makes it less likely hyperbole & stereotypical bias can prevail much longer. Most are educated enough and tired of the ignorant rants. It seems to be dying!

What are you saying? Are you saying that only one race listens to rap, or lives in the 9th ward, or uses welfare and food stamps to keep from working? What are you implying?

Is is racist when people look at the U.S. Justice Dept. crime stats or look at the GBI web site and look for patterns of crime and criminal activity. Is it racist when cops fill out a police report and accurately describe the criminal or suspect?

So far all of the armed robberies in Fayette County have one race in common, except for the one white druggie kid. So is it racist to be wary of a certain demographic, or is it being smart based on crime statistics?

Judging from the influx of Afro-Americans here in Fayette County from majority black areas, would you say that they have a bias against the black community as a whole?

Submitted by PTC Avenger on Sun, 09/07/2008 - 9:23am.

If blacks are equal to whites in every way, what accounts for their poverty, criminality, and dissipation? Since any theory of racial differences has been outlawed, the only possible explanation for black failure is white racism. And since blacks are markedly poor, crime-prone, and dissipated, America must be racked with pervasive racism. Nothing else could be keeping them in such an abject state.
All public discourse on race today is locked into this rigid logic. Any explanation for black failure that does not depend on white wickedness threatens to veer off into the forbidden territory of racial differences. Thus, even if today's whites can find in their hearts no desire to oppress blacks, yesterday's whites must have oppressed them. If whites do not consciously oppress blacks, they must oppress them unconsciously. If no obviously racist individuals can be identified, then institutions must be racist. Or, since blacks are failing so terribly in America, there simply must be millions of white people we do not know about who are working day and night to keep blacks in misery. The dogma of racial equality leaves no room for an explanation of black failure that is not, in some fashion, an indictment of white people.

Today, one of the favorite slogans that define the asymmetric quality of American racism is "celebration of diversity." It has begun to dawn on a few people that "diversity" is always achieved at the expense of whites, and never the other way around. No one proposes that Howard University be made more diverse by admitting whites, Hispanics, or Asians. No one ever suggests that National Hispanic University in San Jose would benefit from the diversity of having non-Hispanics on campus. No one suggests that the Black Congressional Caucus or the executive ranks of the NAACP or the Mexican-American Legal Defense and Educational Fund suffer from a lack of diversity. Somehow, it is perfectly legitimate for them to celebrate homogeneity. And yet any all-white group - a company, a town, a school, a club, a neighborhood - is thought to suffer from a crippling lack of diversity that must be remedied as quickly as possible. Only when whites have been reduced to a minority has "diversity" been achieved. The several million illegal immigrants that enter the country every year are virtually all non-white. It would be racist not to be grateful for this laudable contribution to "diversity." It is, of course, only white nations that are called upon to practice this kind of "diversity." What if the United States were pouring its poorest, least educated citizens across the border into Mexico? Could anyone be fooled into thinking that Mexico was being "culturally enriched?" What if the state of Chihuahua were losing its majority population to poor whites who demanded that schools be taught in English, who insisted on celebrating the Fourth of July, who demanded the right to vote even if they weren't citizens, who clamored for "affirmative action" in jobs and schooling? Would Mexico - or any other non-white nation - tolerate this kind of cultural and demographic depredation? Of course not. Yet white Americans are supposed to look upon the flood of Hispanics entering their country as a priceless cultural gift. They are supposed to "celebrate" their own loss of influence, their own dwindling numbers, their own dispossession, for to do otherwise would be hopelessly racist.

It's time to wake up.

college today. There are all types of scholarships available, there are community colleges on almost every corner. Special exemptions are made for African-American or Latin students in many cases. Of course there is one catch: the student has to make an effort.

As I have said before, needy children can enroll in specail pre-K classes, they have free breakfast, free lunch, free after school care. There are food stamps, WIC and other programs to see that there is food available for the home. If a parent does not care enough to see that a child does homework, gets the needed rest, does not act out in school, there is nothing society can do about it. Unless the situation is such that it qualifies for government interference (DFACS) the child continues to live in this environment. When their heroes are rappers, football, basketball, or baseball heroes who usually barely make it through high school and make millions, what incentive do they have to further their education and get a job that could pay barely above minimum wage or if they apply themselves and get that sheepskin may reach five to six figures. They don't stop to think that few make it as rappers or athletes--they have that dream. In the meantime, as they listen to lyrics about killing cops, hating the system, etc and see their heroes touting three hundred dollar sneakers they decide to steal to get those sneakers, either from a store or some kid who may have earned the money or been fortunate enough to be able to buy them.

There is no reason any person could not get a college education today. Maybe not an ivy league school, but an education. I also believe that everyone is not suited for college. There is nothing wrong with going to a technical school or apprenticing out to learn a trade. Many of these people make more than their highly educated counterparts. We need everyone, teachers, doctors, lawyers, firemen, store clerk, etc. There should be no stigma for any of these jobs as long as they are honest. In this day and age no one needs to resort to being a thug in order to live. All my life there have been people around me who had much more than I had. I may have wished I had it also but I never begrudged them what they had or felt I had the right to take it.

Howard University has established a wide range of diversity programs to bring in white, Asian and Hispanic students, including sponsoring co-educational programs with Stanford and 19 other colleges.

They also have programs to diversify the faculty.

Howard University Promoting Diversity

Here's a question from the FAQs section on the National Hispanic University website:

Is The NHU only for Hispanics?
Absolutely not! Everyone is welcomed and is encouraged to apply. NHU students reflect the broad cultural diversity of the Bay Area. Courses are taught in English.

Or the gang of black kids outside of Detroit that raped and killed two white kids because they hated whites? There won't be another Thomas Jefferson. Might not even be another George Jefferson.
