Sonnets too complicated?

Try some limericks and multi-limericks?

Mississippi company went too far
Now on their record they have a scar
A non-union enterprise hired illegally
And they were totally busted regally
Their hiring record now has a bad mar.

Company was private worth a billion
One of the biggest of the civilian
No union did they care to favor
But their big profits they did savor
And now they will surely lose a million.

Six hundred the feds did quickly arrest
But sent home Mothers shackled & bles't
It took a union who was losing members
To report the situation, fan the embers
This largest of its kind was outguessed!

I prefer your sonnets but the limericks get right to the intent faster!

Could you write another sonnet about the government today announcing that in order for us to avoid a DEPRESSION--not a recession, they are taking over the total management of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

If they don't, they said so many institutions will fail that we will have to start at scratch again!

Of course, tax money will definitely now be used to keep these two entities solvent, but the amount is not known---somewhere between 300 Billion and a Trillion dollars, some estimate.

Try to say in the sonnet for the government not to bail out the money grubbers who tried to make a dishonest killing on these bad loans, by that I mean the guys who bought the bundles from Freddy and Fanny!

I suppose that we will have to allow fred and fan to pay our foreign debtors for fred and fan, otherwise they will call in our other debts!
It gets complicated, but you can handle it with a good sonnet!

Thank goodness those liberals of long ago set up this wonderful system of money-feeding to the banks to keep us eating something besides dried beans and corn bread and water. Jumping off buildings won't solve the problems of most either! Even the fed and the fannies and the fredies failed this time however, now we the taxpayers can put what little we have left in to save us all!
