The Peachtree City Planning Commission will get its first look Monday night at a plan to build an AutoZone at Wilshire Village on Ga. Highway 74 South.

Planners are also expected to hash out a discrepancy over plans to repaint the exterior of the Kedron Village shopping center. The main tenant, Kroger, is expected to bring different color samples for the commission to consider.

The proposed AutoZone would be 7,500 square feet and would have 32 parking spaces. It would be located on the south side of Ga. Highway 74 near Rockaway Road in the new Wilshire Village shopping center.

A developer is also proposing to build a child day care center nearby. The 9,400 square foot facility would be part of the Somerby of Peachtree City development, which includes assisted and independent living for senior citizens.

The commission will be considering the Autozone and day care center in a workshop format only, so no vote will be taken to approve or deny the plans.
