74 South Graffiti walls

The great wall is sufficiently started now that the very first significant graffiti will soon appear, I'm sure.
The gamble as to exactly what day it will occur is also underway.
For a $5 donation to the draw, you may enter your date, along with the time (day or night) as the tie breaker. If still tied, then another draw from that group.

It has not been decided yet whether to post guards as we do in Texas along their wall, or simply hire people to clean it up every day by spraying muddy green over the graffiti. Since I don't like guards and we don't need anymore people in prison for such stuff, I am for the green sprayers!
I noticed some of the private fence clean up along the cart paths recently. It varies from using acid, apparently to completely take everything off the wood down to the raw grain, to brown paint in a square the same size as the graffiti.

We can't have such as that along 74 south, so I think we need a manual as to how it should be blanked out.
Now, the violators of the manual should go to prison.
Also, I was just thinking! If we had a similar wall on the west side of 74, then we could run a roof across between the two walls, with transparent plexiglass panels, and we could use that to generate power for the city! The generators would be under the plexiglass out of the weather.

A cart path could also be constructed on top of that roof from Lenox junction to Starrs Mill!

We have no imagination in this here town!

Seems to be a lot of fresh graffiti on residential fences along the paths around Huddleston. If I owned property along the paths I would feel inclined to put up cameras.
Or at least signs that hint that the area is under surveillance.

I fail to see the point of graffiti. Are they marking their territory? Because to mark their territory on residential property doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. It's bad enough to see them marking their territory in public places but it makes me absolutely livid to see the disrespectful spray paint along someone else's fence.
Along the same vein, I'm a little annoyed about our lack of neighborhood street lamps. I don't care for the idea of one shining into my bedroom window while I'm trying to sleep, but coming home at night when it's utterly black out and you can't see two inches in front of your face, that's unnerving. Especially with the crime rate increasing. I admit I haven't been around very many neighborhoods in the night time but my own neighborhood could stand a few extra lamps for security reasons.

Sadly the kids in this city are more destructive than an animal.

Install dusk to dawn lighting. I don't think we need more street lights, homeowners need to use their outside lights. So many streets in this city look like dark alleys because nobody even has a light on by their front door.

The cameras seem to be working for many people. It's a shame we have so many rabid kids here that it is necessary to protect your property this way.

I, personally, leave my porch light on all night. As does my next door neighbor. But I think we're the only ones. There is one street lamp a few doors down from me on the opposite side, which I suspect is equipped with a 40 watt bulb. Or maybe a couple of lightning bugs, it's hard to tell.

I was at Huddleston pond the other day and noticed that the Atlanta Foot Clan has claimed the pond as their own territory. They must not want any rival clans feeding their ducks.

Your enraged anger (livid)won't faze these disrespectful spray painters!
In fact, that is their goal: to get you livid!

Your fake signs and "inclination" for cameras would last about two days at most!

You want more street lamps, you say, yet they can't shine into your bedroom? Those kind haven't been invented! Maybe you can install one of those remote switches on them to turn them off once you are in the bed? It doesn't matter what the neighbors think!

Just how many neighborhoods HAVE you been around at night without street lamps? Not very many, you say?

Oh, and are these "lamps" to be whale oil, kerosene, NG. or will electricity do?

You misunderstand. As usual.
My meaning was that I would take the light shining into my bedroom over no light at all.

Yes, that is exactly right. I said that I don't know what other neighborhoods are like but that mine is seriously lacking in the very basic security that street lamps provide.

And you are right. Fake signs and cameras would probably not go very far in curtailing the graffiti along the paths. What are your suggestions? Or should I expect to see, next time I'm tooling along one of the paths, an intricately airbrushed tag saying, "Bonkers I mean Dollar I mean Sage"?

I was thinking we could just hire schoolchildren to stand at intervals with tiki torches.

The kids with torches wouldn't last a minute with the first gang that came along. Don't put them through that, they have to go to school the next day!

Then why did you mention the light in your eyes? I'm confused!

I hardly ever misunderstand when things are written clearly for others to understand!

I still think you really want a big old bulb burning tons of juice that don't shine in your window! That would keep the graffiti off the front of your house. Do you want the graffiti curtailed or stopped entirely? Curtail means to cut the pant-legs off in French, I think!
I suggest that you talk to the new county sheriff and see if he will fly the hellofacopter over the paths with the big search light on after midnight!

I want stadium lights, searchlights, curtailed pant legs on thugs and throughout all of this I desire my bedroom window to be fitted with a realistic picture of a moonlit beach scene, so as not to disrupt my sleep. As well as sound-proofing for my entire house. As you might guess, I expect the city to pay for all of these things.
As for the schoolchildren, look... I mean they don't have jobs that they have to go to in the morning and they don't learn anything while they're at school anyway so I don't see why they can't take turns securing their own neighborhood. I don't think there ought to be an age limit on who can contribute to society and anyone who thinks there should be is a fascist. Besides, all we have to do is teach the kids jui-jitsu to deal with the thugs and the city can pay for that, too.

Well, where ever it is you live--I don't want to!

Remember you can't work kids under 16 at night much and they must be paid!

I recommend that your family doctor secure for you a Phisiocolonist.

You are a real case study of cross-firing neurons, not to mention the ricochets.

My neurons do not cross-fire to my knowledge! I have nerves of steel.
And I have been a case study.

Now about My and your friend John McCain:
I worked for McCain in his last try for the White House until he was destroyed in SC by "I'm Bob Dole! Just like Nixon did Ms. Douglas in CA. I am Independent and vote mostly democrat. This time I will vote McCain.

I am also a vet but I was fortunate enough to let just Uncle Sam torture me, not the enemy. We have a wonderful military up to three stars, but civilian commanders that they are afraid of, I'm afraid.

Considering the only alternative to John, Obama, I feel Obama needs at least four more years of accomplishment before I could consider him as a President. Don't know about you.

As to how either one would treat the military, I don't know.

Our boys currently are being mistreated due mostly to NO DRAFT being available. We have had to destroy thousands of families of our Guard and Reserves and still were short. I saw a young soldier this week end with his wife and daughter, dressed in fatigues, going into a restaurant and I couldn't restrain myself from secretly paying his way to the manager---not to the soldier. He would have refused it, and should have. If he doesn't need it he will passit on.

Now as to John's and your prison time and John's attitude and Privileged status---I can only compare him to Obama now and that choice is easy. I preferred Biden.

Thank you for suffering for us all and I hope you see your way clear to give John a chance maybe to redeem himself.

Yep. Pretty cool.

Good for you.

That's the most lucid post he's ever made and quite a good deed to go along with it! Here's another from the AJC about Plant A Row for the Hungry and Fayette County growing and donating 17,000 pounds of food this year so far:

Fayette Food Growers

Pretty nice to read some good news every once and while to maintain perspective.
