The AT&T store at the Fayette Pavilion was broken into early this morning, Fayetteville police said.

Thieves got away with one flat screen TV, but left behind another that had been removed from the wall, police said.

Officers responded to a burglary alarm around 2 a.m.; a rock was thrown through the store window to gain entry to the store, police said.

Capt. Steve Crawshaw noted that similar smash and grab incidents have been occurring in multiple jurisdictions in Georgia, including Valdosta, LaGrange, Clayton County, Riverdale and Griffin among others. He said it’s not known if all those incidents are being committed by the same group of people.
