Obama's 143 days of experience ...

Is 143 days of experience enough to be President of the most powerful country in the free world? I think not.

Just how much is 143 days? Consider this...a school year is 180 days. That's 37 days more. A year of workdays is 254 days if you only subtract the 6 major holidays of New Years, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day. That's 111 days more. Baseball plays 162 games a year. That’s 19 more games than Obama has days of experience.

Those are just a few comparisons of days and don’t really get to the heart of the experience question. Let’s compare his 143 days of experience to a few career choices and what they require:

Most Plumbers are required to apprentice for 4 years. That’s 1040 days at 5 days a week for 208 weeks. Over 7 times more days than Obama's 143

A doctor in family medicine is required to residency 3 years after Med School. That’s 780 days at 5 days a week for 156 weeks. Over 5 times more days than Obama's 143 days.

An electrician works 5000 hours over 5 years and attends 800 hours of classes during his apprenticeship. That’s 500 days at 10 hrs a day + another 100 days of classes. Over 4 times more days than Obama's 143 days.

An ASE Certified Mechanic requires 2 yrs of experience. That’s 520 days at 5 days a week for 104 weeks. Over 3 times more days than Obama's 143 days.

Obama’s 143 days pale in comparison to the requirements for the jobs above.
