Police arrest 3 connected to altercation A 16-year-old Peachtree City boy was cut by a knife late Wednesday afternoon during a confrontation between "numerous subjects" at the Luther Glass Park in Peachtree City, police said. Another juvenile was struck in the head with a skateboard during the incident, Peachtree City Police Chief Skip Clark said Thursday afternoon. Three juveniles were arrested in conjunction with the incident, which actually started at the skate park area at the city’s recreation department off McIntosh Trail, police said. Two are charged with aggravated assault, disorderly conduct and affray. The third juvenile is charged with two counts of criminal trespassing. The incident is not gang related, but involves two groups of juveniles, Clark said. Police are still trying to determine what sparked the fight, the chief added. “We’re still trying to sort all the facts out,” Clark said. The victim was cut in the chest and treated by Peachtree City paramedics, police said. He was not transported to a hospital but was released to his mother's custody, police said. The investigation began about 5:40 p.m. Wednesday when police responded to a report of a person injured with a knife in the Terrace Tay subdivision. Luther Glass Park is adjacent to the "Three Ponds" park off Peachtree Parkway north of Crosstown Road in Braelinn Village. login to post comments |
