so...how bout that plane crash?? Sounds like he did a pretty good job getting it down so far with not much in the way of injuries. It will be interesting to see what happened. Fuel starvation, mechanical problem? I dunno-just trying to get back to the topic at hand. Hope everyone gets feeling better soon.

is north of $175,000. My first little airplane cost only $2,900. Bicycles are a whole lot cheaper.

You could buy a lot of bikes for that much money.

I sold my last airplane and got out of flying in 1980. It was too darn expensive then.

BTW, how have you been doing?

Well I didn’t qualify for the program up north.

Options A & B were both no go’s so were looking at option C which maybe out side of the country.

Just taking it one day at a time and living each day to the fullest.

I don’t give up easily.

How’s your family?

I know your son was having some back problems did they finally get the problem solved?

Thanks for asking!

The good news is all the tests revealed.......nothing. However, we have no idea what was causing it. He has been free of pain since about March and is not on any medication and we hope that he outgrows whatever it was. He'll be off to LaGrange College next month so we'll be entering that new phase of life.

I hope you can make it to the RV park in Destin.

Wulf, you have a lot folks here pulling for you. So if you need anything just let us know.

That’s great news I hope your son continues to be well. Those back problems are tough especially for such a young man. Congratulations to your son I am sure you and the Mrs. are extremely proud of him.

Cy, this is not my first trip down this road I have been here before. I beat it once when I was given little chance to survive. It was a long agonizing trip in which at one point I was declared clinically dead and I don’t know if what I experience was real or as some doctors and scientist think it was just images from a dying brain. All I can tell you since then I have had absolutely no fear of dying.

That doesn’t mean that I am ready to go anytime soon.

A.J. Ayer was a famous British philosopher who maintained that talk of God does not even have the good grace of being false. Rather, it is just meaningless. So religion wasn't really his thing.

Late in life, Ayer had a "near death" (or "after death"?) experience on an operating table and later wrote an essay about it. The question, of course, was whether such an experience counts as confirming evidence of life after death.

People commonly relate an experience of perceiving a white light ahead, as if at the end of a tunnel. They find themselves powerfully attracted to it, and experience bliss as they approach it. Often, a lost loved one, or perhaps Jesus or some saint, is there to welcome them--or to tell them that they have to go back.

Ayer's experience was different. He saw a light ahead, but it was a brilliant red. And the nearer he got to it, the more he experienced negative or even painful sensations. (I am not making this up.)

Of course, he explained all such experiences away by appeal to C-fiber firings, neural impulses, etc.

But I know not a few people who would find it tempting to offer a theological explanation for this atheist's experience of a red light and an aversion to it. Smiling

You have what I think is the perfect attitude: a determined willingness to fight hard, but a lack of fear in the event that things do not go according to all of our hopes and prayers.

I didn’t see any red lights nor did I have any negative feelings. It was fifteen years ago lets hope nothing has changed.

Wish you guys well with both your employment situation and more importantly Mrs. Muddles health issues.

I have heard a few explain the white light thing also.

Two in-laws, as a matter of fact. They claim to be very religious.

The red light of course is hell! (They would say). I know you didn't want to say that so bluntly, being a philosopher!

If you ever got beaned real good on the head you would know what those lights look like without anesthesia.

I've never seen so many sick people.
I have a half dozen serious ailments, my neighbor has severe cancer, several on here are apparently ill, my wifes aunt just died with strokes, on and on!

Going to the doctor now is getting like walking through a chicken processing factory from live chickens to packages of chicken!
Maybe we know how to treat too much stuff for people to suffer and live just a few more years?
And for those who ask, do you want to be first not to be treated---the answer is yes, if you will be second?

What are you insinuating?
I do take brain pills but it is not defective yet. (I know, you disagree)

What I am saying is why are all these discussions going on here? Nothing except to say, "I'm sorry" can be done here!
Is that important to some? Pure strangers! Or, at best a casual acquaintance.

Maybe if you were a friend and made a friend you would know what good it does to have someone say they are thinking of you and wishing you the best. If you don't like reading these posts, just ignore them. It is always nice to know that someone, even if it is only an acquaintance or a fellow blogger, cares about you. Your biggest ailment is your negativity. Too bad there is not a pill for that. And you better either up the dose for those brain pills or tell your doctor 'they ain't workin'.

We have bookoo neighbors that we know.
We have a large family who get together at least once a month.
We have several friends far away that we correspond with often.

I'm talking about unknown quantities that one chooses to discuss private and trivial matters!

Just what does one say to a Lily or a Belle or a........... that is serious?

I actually don’t feel too bad; I got out and visited a few of my customers that I hadn't seen in a while.

Your prayers are appreciated.

I remain determined to beat this thing and if I don’t it won’t be because I just gave up.

I’m just enjoying each day not sweating the small stuff.

I am sorry that you are having to deal with you sickness in this life.

I know there are some strange books out on the market.

I did read a great one, it went along with scripture about heaven.
It's 90 min. in heaven. It did bring some comfort with the death of my family members. Take a look at it.

I know I get knocked alot on here about my faith. I can tell you I do have a personal relationship with God and it's all the time. I have read what you write and you talk about this. I am glad that you do.

Life is precious, Life is sweet we just have to look around us daily and enjoy it and not take it for granted. We don't have to look far.

I’m a firm believer that you have to play the cards that life deals you.

Sometimes you get good ones and sometimes not so good ones. I can’t give up because I have been given a less than perfect hand.
