I Am Sad For Mrs. Edwards - Not Much Said About ThisI am from N.C. and I have a sister that is disabled and is in a wheel chair. She was happy being married for 26 years to the man of her dreams. Until the day he kicked her out into a mobile home. He divorced her and gave her a mobile home while he kept the house that was paid for. Why did he kick her out, well she was too sick and of no use to him anymore. It would mean alot of bills and his money was more important. Now she lives on disability while he lives a life with two cars, his retirement, house and all the savings they saved together. It is a long story of a deceiving husband. I tell you this because my brother-In- Law's lawyer was going to go to the White House with John Edwards if he won President. Seems we haven't heard much talk about this. It seems like Edwards is alot like my EX-Brother-In-Law. READ THIS: FOX News Blogs » FOX Forum It’s now been five days since the National Enquirer broke a story about John Edwards supposedly slipping into his girlfriend’s hotel room late at night while their purported love child was being watched in a hotel room down the hall. When he emerged and was confronted by National Enquirer reporters and photographers, he ran into a bathroom where he held off the reporters until a hotel security guard could come escort him out. Two days later, FOX News confirmed the story with the hotel guard. The story has appeared in several foreign newspapers and has been all over the Internet, but it just can’t seem to break through to the major news media. Not only has it not appeared in the print copies of any major newspapers or the network news, but shows on the news media aren’t even discussing why the MSM isn’t reporting this story. What gives? There are several hypotheses out there. * This is how I feel about the story. July 25, 2008 3:30 PM By Cal Thomas My first reaction is how sad…for his wife, for his children and for himself and his reputation. After bravely posing with his wife, Elizabeth — herself a tower of strength as she deals with breast cancer — we learn of these shocking allegations. If they are true, it is a personal tragedy for all concerned, including the baby, who has a right to a father in a stable marital relationship. But the story and reaction to it is the payment hypocrisy makes to virtue. If there is no God who sets the boundaries for human behavior and we are all evolutionary accidents subject to nothing but our lowest nature, then why shouldn’t he do what he wants, when he wants and with whom he wishes? And look at what we flaunt in culture. See what attracts our attention. Culture not only gives permission, it also encourages such behavior. As C.S. Lewis wrote: “We laugh at honor and are surprised to find traitors in our midst.” If true, Edwards is a traitor to his wife, his children and to all of those voters who once placed their faith and trust in him. * My sister lives on a fixed income and it's difficult for her. She is in a wheel chair, has alot of sickness and struggles to face the day with pain, hurt and sorrow. The best thing, the "Comforter" never leaves her. Reading this story of John Edwards made me think how sorry I am for his wife and family. John Edwards sounds alot like my Ex- Brother-In-Law. That is SAD! Husbands please love your wives even through the sickness and health. patches's blog | login to post comments |
