Poor old Veterans Administration

They also were not in the Administration's plan concerning the "Mission Accomplished" war.
It is not easy to gear up to handle 30-40,000 seriously wounded troops---now maybe three times that many with the explosion caused brain injuries discovered.

Also, as usual in any case like this where scores of thousands want on the tax payroll, there will be the 20-30% applying who do not deserve little if anything as compensation.
Social Security and Medicaid have had this problem forever. New York Fire and Police men also have same kinds of problems for same reasons.
Coal miners have same problems for coal dust in the lungs for same reasons.
On and on it goes.

The El Stupidoes who inflamed this stupid unnecessary Iraqi war before finishing Afghanistan are to blame for the stack-up, just as much as the VA inaction for the last five years. They didn't want to get fired for bringing up the problem!!!!!!!!
Same with our current bank problems----stay MUM.

They have to sort out the cheaters.

I am not a Veteran trying for benefits, I'm nothing more than the wife of a combat Veteran, I've only spent the last FIVE YEARS fighting the VA. Dealing with the VA is like being "involved in a giant paper shuffle and [this] is not a spectator sport." My husband can't deal with the VA... he has issues with being screwed over repeatedly... so yeah, I fight for my husband. I actually have a dog in this fight.
