You are certainly bolder than I throwing out percentages. Who gave you those? Puzzled Your lucky bug?

Do you really think there won't be more of a backlash against the school board that what you just eluded to? With the redrawing of the lines and such as there done?

If you're right about Dunn and Frady it's going to be might entertaining to watch those two go at it over the next couple of years.

I'm with you, Git. I expect a serious backlash against incumbent school board members. Maybe Key makes a runoff and I think that's it for the incumbents.

Ballard-Hayes is likely to be real close, but I'm still thinking Hayes takes it.

I see Dunn, Wells, Pfeiffer and even Furman winning.

Sheriff's run-off to be Hannah and Babb with Simmons finishing just out of the 2nd spot. Mindar a distant 4th.

Not a year to be an incumbent in Fayette county as disgust with the national party filters down locally and the local incumbents are judged to be lacking.

Might as well go all out! (hey, if I'm wrong, I'm wrong...I won't try and make excuses after the fact like certain losers here today). I'm often mistaken...but never wrong! Eye-wink

Anyway, I think the school board races will be very close. The reason they will be close is because they essentially caved on redistricting, making everyone happy but not solving the problem. I suspect we will see the mother of all redistrictings in 2011. Bookmark this thread to see if I'm right.

Interestingly, I have a couple of friends in social circles that are far above my station in life...we socialize infrequently. I had both of their wives call me last night, one urging me to vote for Houston for school board ("He understands what's important: protecting property values" i.e. No McIntosh Homes Redistricted to Sandy Creek" and also one for Carol Jensen-Linton ("She's one of us!") which told me that Cal's pegging her as a country club commissioner was right on target.

I agree, if Dunn and Frady win there will be constant fireworks.

I'm running for the school board in 2012, I'm counting on you to be my campaign manager.

yeah I hope it isn't a runoff but it may be and then I think Mindar would back Babb as well (and maybe even Simons)
