Grass is dying

Tree roots are coming through the top of the ground for water. Next big blow will topple most of them.
Yet we automatic sprinkle and buy more plants to water.
Sounds almost as bad as those who eat full meals and drink all of the tea they want, even after being told it is the last of it, maybe for months!
Grass going dormant in July isn't telling us anything we want to hear
