Thank you Harold Bost!!!!! The vote tomorrow is now clear.

Your stupid little newsletter arrived today in the mail and even though I recognize Janet Gregor's writing, I'm not going to comment on that.

What I will comment on is why you still think you have a dog in this fight. I thought you moved away and shut up. If you didn't, you should have.

Anyway, your choices are all wrong - that's right - 0 for 3. Let me tell you why.

Dunn instead of Horgan? Are you kidding me? We had enough of that ego crap for 2 terms. All he ever did was stand up to Steve Brown (a good thing) but his egotistical rein of the county was sickening. Let's not do that again.

Peter? No, no.no. The get-along-with-anyone Kouragian is clearly the best choice.

Lee Hearn bringing MARTA to Fayette? Are you nuts? I'm not voting for him or any of your choices.

Now, of course you are going to say I got it all wrong. Well, dude - read your stupid freaking brochure from the viewpoint of a commmon voter. It does not have a single realistic point. It is whining. And it does not have a conclusion.

Learn how to write - or better yet, hire a real writer.

Mr. Bost also was a bit inaccurate on the employee salaries and raise. Many of the long time employess only got 1.5% or less. Those that received anything significant were those that were grossly underpaid to begin with.
That was the plan by the Dunn/Wells/Pfifer monopoly. Keep the employees in a revolving door so payroll stays low. They could care less about experience, abilities or expertise and with that attitude, ran off a number of quality employees.

Also, least we forget it was Mr. Bost who negotiated a "Golden Paracute" clause in former County Administrator Billy Becketts new contract, then a few months later, fired him. Mr. Beckett walked out with an extra years salary and other benefits.

I don't think we need Mr. Bost lecturing us on how to save taxpayer dollars.

Also, why isn't anyone mentioning that multi-million dollar park in Kenwood that the Dunn/Wells/Pfifer monopoly push through? Something like cost overruns to the tune of 4 times the original budget.

Why has that one got lost in this election??

Other than that Hayes has $26, 450 not counting his $5000 loan and Ballard has $21, 7440. That is over the $101.00 contributions. So, it looks like to me that Hayes is more supported around here.

editing as I was trying to get Dunn's report.

contributions get on this State of Ethics site? I would like to see the Sheriff's contribution reports, along with the others.

Does this create a conflict of interest? I also noticed that an attorney that works for DA Ballard as his assistant did Ballard's campaign web design!!!

to support political candidates, the same as you do. How did it happen? Well, many attorneys are in a position to know who is the more qualified candidate. That would be Scott Ballard.

This is an issue that should be explored further. Thanks for the campaign donations link. Were any of these attorneys representing clients in this circuit during the time they made donations?

Well, think about it for just a moment. If a Defense Attorney were to support Rudjard, and Rudjard became DA, would that not present the exact same ethical dilemma?? The Georgia Supreme Court has held that lawyers have the right to support candidates for office, including DA's, Judges, etc. Also, what makes you believe all the attorneys that support Ballard are defense attorneys? Some practice civil law, but personally know Ballard. Some have been to forums and heard both men speak. Some are simply disgusted by Rudjard's negative campaigning. For example, going down the list, Christy Dunkleberger does not practice criminal law, to my knowledge. Neither does Mike Hofricter. Lura Landis is a prosecutor. David Moore practices civil, as does Mark Skibel. I could go on. By the way, there are a number of folks who gave $100 or less that aren't on the list that are attorneys, so it was way more than 26.

These are all honest lawyers. They were not working on defense cases at the very moment the check was being written. Maybe after, but not during.

I truly thought Ballard was an upfront and decent man, and that his weakness at serving as a DA was due simply to his lack of experience, with a little bit of the old defense attorney still showing through. Old habits, you know..

The large number of attorneys contributing to his re-election campaign truly makes me sick to my stomach. So this is how it works? No wonder why so many walk away "Scott" free.

These people (not the lawyers) that support Ballard are good people, and many are probably relatives and old school friends. Is our electing a good old boy that we know so important that we will let criminals destroy this beautiful county...all because we have to vote for one of our own?

Submitted by skyspy on Mon, 07/14/2008 - 9:32pm.

Vote against criminals.

Get a carry permit. Defend yourself, because Scotty never will defend the innocent victims. He doesn't even care enough about this county to protect it from virulent satanic criminals.

Submitted by Sick of Fascists on Mon, 07/14/2008 - 9:33pm.

Where'd that one come from?

Submitted by skyspy on Mon, 07/14/2008 - 9:37pm.

in my book they are satanic. I'm not going to apologize for that one.

Submitted by Sick of Fascists on Mon, 07/14/2008 - 9:43pm.

Lots are just plain dumb. Bouncing checks, DUI's, Theft by receiving...I mean sure, killing is evil, but I doubt Jason Veitch would consider himself satanic. Just a tad histrionic there skyspy.

Submitted by skyspy on Mon, 07/14/2008 - 9:52pm.

I agree criminals are dumb, or at the very least lower functioning. But, they go beyond lazy, when they would do anything to get what they want. That describes people with no morals. I call them evil. Anyone who would do anything to get a "freelunch" or money is evil.

Call it whatever you want, if they break into my home in the middle of the night you can call them DOA!! That is what they will be.

Submitted by Sick of Fascists on Mon, 07/14/2008 - 9:59pm.

I support you in that one Skyspy. It is your right to defend your home and family against criminals. Just pointing out that there is a difference between violent criminals, that should be and are locked down when caught, and non-violent criminals. Suggesting that Scott Ballard is supportive of "satanic" criminals is a bit over the top.

Submitted by Sick of Fascists on Mon, 07/14/2008 - 9:25pm.

If all it took to win in court was to make a $200 donation to the DA's office, I am thinking NO ONE would go to jail. What an idiotic position to take.

So no attorney should support ole Rudjard either. He'll give em all get out of jail free cards for their clients.
