Any referrals for appliance repairs?

Just had our dishwasher go on the fritz, it keeps washing (for 3 hours) and will not cycle through as usual.

Does anyone know a good and fair appliance repair service near PTC?

It's a Kenmore that was well rated by Consumer Reports, but I guess stuff happens. It is probably out of warrantee, it is over 12 months old.

Did not take extended warrantee like Clake Howard says. (This repair will probably cost the same as that warrantee anyway)

Any referrals would be appreciated, thanks.

I have seen this before. it could be a bad control board. Usually if you take the control board out, you can see a visibly burnt spot on the back of it where a connection has melted. Another possible slowrun time problem could be that the water coming into the dishwasher when it fills is not hot. If it isnt hot, it takes the dishwasher longer to heat the water to temp, and therefore it runs longer. Is the water coming out of your tap reasonably hot? If not you may need to turn up your water heater settings. But if nobody has messed with the water heater, or the tap where the dishwasher is attached and the problem just started then thats probably not it. Good Luck!

Call Jeff Wright, 404-556-7879. He's good and knows Kenmore.

Suggest you use someone local who sells them. Clayton Appliance maybe.

Some come with more than a years warranty!
