Question: What is the legal/citizenship status of the victims?

Do they have work visas? Were they born here? Do you even know? In context with respect to one human shooting another with a 12 gauge, is that even THE issue?

Let me direct you, Skyspy, to what I feel is the real issue here. I may be wrong, but most of us know a Texas man was not charged with a crime stemming from him fatally shooting two burglars. He shot and killed two men who were stealing property from a neighbor who was not home. This set a precedent for all the mouth breathers with guns in our country to put on their sheriff's hats and defend property (AKA stuff) with lethal force. The Texas case has given those lacking the ability to cognitively weigh actions with consequences the impression they will not get in trouble if they kill someone stealing stuff.

These dry wallers, regardless of their legal status, are victims. The family of the deceased are all victims; victims of reckless, clueless arrogance. And you say hiring illegals was the problem? No, Skyspy; being so dumb that you would ask a law enforcement officer if you could kill someone in a given situation, being told no, and then killing someone in that "perceived" situation is the problem. The last story The Citizen printed about arrests on copper theft dealt with perps who were good ole Americans. That would lead one to believe that not hiring illegal aliens would not make a business owner immune from copper theft.

Accountability use to be a conservative principle. If a man has a gun, asks about using it on thieves, is told "no", loads it, takes it to a job site, points it at an unarmed man, polks the man with it, and then pulls the trigger:

A) Who is responsible?
B) Is the dead person's legal status the main issue?
C) Who is accountable for the taking of life?
D) Why would anyone say, "Don't hire illegals" as if to suggest this would solve the problems of copper theft or shooting unarmed people lying on the ground?

In 1992 the meat cutter's in the Midwest made $19.00 per hour now the prevailing wage is $9.50 per hour, and we here 2-3-4 times per year about tainted beef and e colli.

The largest dry wall union in Atlanta was African American in 1994 in 2004 it was 95 % Latino.

American's who are not working can't buy cars, appliances and more than basic subsistence foods.

We are seeing it daily, while Corporation's are turning bigger profits individuals are suffering more and more.
