Tyrone is behind the times

I was going back to review the minutes to the council and planning meetings and see that there are none for June and part of May. Is it that Mayor Don does not seem to be able to find someone with time to type the minutes? I find this rather interesting as I KNOW that there is a certain female council woman who made sure that Valerie got things on line immediately after the meetings. It makes you wonder what the council does not want the public to read. Grace you are falling down on your job.

Why was Valerie Caldwell fired? What were the specific reasons? Mayor Don Rehwaldt told the Citizens News, that the Council was not please with some of Valerie’s work. She was fired after the Council had found Valerie had issued checks in 2007 to Barry Amos and herself for $36000 for vacation pay. A Town employee said that Attorney Davenport was researching the law to determine if any criminal charges should be brought or if any other laws were broken by Valerie. I’ll bet we never get to hear Davenport’s report. Citizens reviews of Barry & Valerie W2's shows over $43000 was paid out by Valerie, but there are no records to show exactly how the public funds were broken down. We know that it wasn’t for vacation pay, overtime or expenses. So why did Barry & Valerie pay themselves?
