We waited too long

Saw a film clip of old about housing,
By Bush where homes he wanted all to own
Apparently with loans by crooks espousing,
Loans made bundling millions in one loan.

Another magnificent idea by divine lead
Gobbled up plain by voters of the right
Large hedges were created by much greed
Creating upon this country a big blight.

Many suckers on Wall Street suffer
Due to the feds only bailing out some
Pension funds and 401-ks getting rougher
I fear all that will be left is a crumb.

Kinda like "mission accomplished" now
More of this we must not allow!

About healthcare you could say the same,
It’s all been turned into a game.
Insurance companies want a piece of the pie,
With premiums that are sky-high.

A single national plan would be more efficient,
And it would also be more convenient,
But who would be left to make a contribution
To the politicians who govern our nation?

How could we ever replace the wages
Of those many who ponder our coverages?
Bleed on, little consumer, bleed on,
While the political fat cats carry on.
