Sheriff this and sheriff that!

I do hope that the few people who are commenting on this site about the sheriff's election realize that there aren't enough interested in what is read on here to make any difference. It need not go on and on!
Fayette is a "sherriffin" county and is 85% one party, (not really conservative about money), and all of the candidates are saying that they are republican---be stupid not to do so!
Although the current sheriff has already quit and has had nothing to say about the election, (due to some few problems he would just as soon not talk about-- the books and helicopters and such), he just wants to go stay in his third home and live off a good pension and fish, I suppose. Bruce ran it anyway for years. Maybe badly, but he ran it.
As I said for some unknown reason most of the current voters for Sheriff, (about 25% of the total voters eligible I would say), think that knowing a sheriff is a grand thing. It used to be, but means little anymore. Favoritism has about disappeared for the common person---only for those who can return the favors is it available.
So, the fair haired favorite will of course win and we will continue as usual and there will be NO crackdown, nor feelings hurt, of anyone who votes, if possible.

I guess some people just can help it, they have got sheriff-itis. Having a good sheriff in Fayette Co. is good though. The more invisible he is, the better we are, though he only knows what is needed to keep us all safe. Sometimes sheriffs are bad guys, remember the sheriff of Nottingham?

Yawn! I better go back to scratching the cat and watching CNN.
