Chit-Chat

Shooting the breeze about the beach
Restaurants are mentioned in passing
Although I have made my last beseech
The conversation is still very gassing.

The whole sheriff's office running hard
Everyone's family pushing for a job
Although most are full of soft lard
And look very much like a blob.

When will we discuss our people in uniform
Or the staggering debt we have yet to pay
Which in our history was not the norm
But surely our kids will keep it at bay!

Spend on unnecessary war, spend heavily
Who can argue with wars fought levelly?

Glad to hear you are enjoying yourselves! Wear your sunscreen.

btw - I hope you fry up some of those fish you catch and not practice 'catch and release' on all those critters.

Thanks!! Catch and release only. Cleaning and cooking them is too much work.

When I lived out west, we used to 'snag' for Kokonee salmon and one winter we snagged about 250 fish. There were 10 of us staying in this mountain cabin and we cleaned all those fish when we got back - it took us forever! But those fish were delicious. Ended up freezing most of them of course.

Come on, cyclist, clean and eat at least one of those fish!

If we thought the nurses would let you out, we would invite you along more often.

Does our "chit/chat" really take up that much of your space?

Have a good day.

Submitted by sageadvice on Tue, 06/24/2008 - 7:10am.

Along to where? Not interested!

You take everyone's space and time with triviality best done by e-mail.

What on earth should it matter to me if you go to the "beach?" Unless you learned something there! Are you really bragging to hurt those who can't go?

I enjoy life anywhere!

Submitted by skyspy on Tue, 06/24/2008 - 10:40am.

Not bragging.

Now is a good time to buy a second home in a location that you want to live when you retire. Then you also have a second home to go to on the weekends. Also it's an additional tax write-off.

I hope you have a chance to spend time with your friends today, it will cheer you up. Sorry our chit chat is so bothersome to you.

There is nothing wrong with conversation about vacations, etc., but I wonder why you might think that 12-1500 others of us might have an interest? That's all!
You know I cut my toe-nails today. Right here on the beach. I got too much sun I'm sure, but I want to look red when I get back---more good conversation you know for the whole blogasphere! I want to live here on the sand for 20 years.

Submitted by sageadvice on Tue, 06/24/2008 - 10:58am.

Why would anyone want to move just because they retired? It never works out the first move!

I think Spyglass and Skyspy are sitting on the beach together, enjoying bloodymary's and blogging away needlessly while enjoying the frolicking around them.

There was this person called Sage,
Who thought their blog was the rage;
They ranted and ranted,
And never recanted,
And now Sage resides in a cage.

Ponderer of all thangs
Has become a poet
One with long bangs
Who just won't stow-it.

It is ranting and raving
to him you see
he feels full of craving
For enormous publicity!

Submitted by MYTMITE on Tue, 06/24/2008 - 5:57pm.

Oh, Sage of many words and little sense,
I see you have tried to mount a defense;
Your syntax is wrong, your rhyming weak,
And bloated words show publicity YOU seek.

So, some speak of fishing, time at lake,
These blogs of joy you simply can't take;
Unless it's about you, you feel it inane,
Is it any wonder many think you insane?

Why does one's happiness bother you so,
Is it something you personally don't know?
The simple things that bring others joy,
To you are a bother, something to annoy.

If you don't like it, that's your right,
But why does it make you so darn uptight?
We enjoy their blogs and their fish tales,
You would, too, if you took off the scales.

That cover your eyes, cover your heart,
And enjoy what these bloggers impart;
Good times shared with others bring joy,
So won't you stop being a cranky kill-joy?

Ever heard the conversation at a ladies card party
Almost as good as mytitemite and the bunch
Who pretend escape from reality as if a smarty
By either amateur fishing or getting heavier at lunch!

Sage, it must have taken you all of those 25 drinks to come up with that gibberish. I am sure in that hazy condition it all makes sense to you. To the rest of us, who reside in the real world with interests and friends, it is just the rantings of a angry, sad soul. I guess we really should feel sorry for you, except you seem to relish your misery. Have you tried taking up basketweaving or knitting? Might get some of that envy and anger out of you, or perhaps meditation with a calming mantra. Worth a try.

Submitted by sageadvice on Wed, 06/25/2008 - 8:38pm.

You speak Navaho apparently.
I don't drink! I just never understood the skanks and bums who sit around bars spending four or five times as much as a drink is worth.
That is not the "real world" to me.
As to an "angry and sad soul"--as you say, I've got more going than you apparently ever did, combined, especially if a nasty beach, clods, and fish excite you so. I think you go there to brag about the red-nek riviera to a bunch of dull clowns!
Also, chanting mantras are for the ignorant and needful. I don't like them. Snake charmers and false religions use them if you are interested.

Submitted by MYTMITE on Wed, 06/25/2008 - 10:58pm.

Is I do not drink but do not look down my nose at those who do. Many go for the friendship as well as the alcohol. I do not fish nor do I hang out at the beach, but again it does not bother me if others do. If they get pleasure doing those things and enjoy sharing those experiences with others, I say more power to them. Why should it bother me and it certainly shouldn't bother you. What makes you think the ridiculous blogs you post on here are of more interest than two people blogging back and forth about their fishing experiences? At least their blogs are pleasant and do not make petty remarks about others as yours do. If they wish to go to 'nasty' beaches as you call them, what is that to you? As for you having more going on in your life than I do, I seriously doubt it. If it is true, evidently none of it brings you pleasure as you are always finding something to grouse about on another's blog. Your superior attitude is only exceeded by your supercilious posturing. As long as you continue to 'knock' others blogs I will continue to point out what a fractious, miserable curmudgeon you are.

Is a "hoot" and owl? I hope you didn't call him a "hoot!"
I have heard the fans "hoot" an umpire, though.
Any kin to "hooters?"
