Phonebook recycling

TinCan's picture

Does anyone know of a phonebook recycling facility closer to PTC than the county transfer station? Hate to burn a couple, well maybe one, gallon(s) of gas to toss a few phone books and always feel guilty when throwing them in my regular garbage. I know the Rotary books can go in the PTC paper recycling bins.

PTC likes to boast that it's a progressive and enlightened city yet when it comes to common sense and intelligent sustainability, PTC is still in the 50's. The 1850's.

I would suggest looking in the parking lot of your nearest church (you can't spit in PTC without hitting one; I've tried). Most elementary schools have collections bins as well. Crabapple Elementary has one, if you're a highway 74 commuter.

Wow, didn't think phone books had that much impact. That aside, near a couple of churches and pass them frequently but never noticed any bins in their lots. However, haven't exactly been looking for any. Will check it out though.
