Thanks for your concern.

We're home from the hospital (Emory) as of last night. This proved to be a 12 day stay. Nice to be back in a real bed instead of a converta-chair-bed (oh, my aching hips!)!

We're not out of the woods, by any means, but the long-term prognosis is favorable.

Meanwhile, though I may attempt to sing the praises of the Emory doctors and nurses, I'm sure I'll fail to do them justice. We are contemplating a possible move (California? Texas?) due to my job situation, and one of the worst implications of this (second to being farther from kids and grandkids) is being out of range of Emory. The Atlanta area is graced with a world class tertiary hospital in Emory. I don't know why anyone would go anywhere else.

You will be an asset wherever you go. Know that prayers continue for you and yours! I do hope that you don't have to leave your comfort zone of family, friends, and great medical care. My 97-year-old mother is a survivor - after several long hospital stays.

I'm glad to know that your wife is improving. I've been to Emory several times and they have been great.

You're moving? Say it's not so! This is so unfair to you, and your family. It's just plain rotten. I have NEVER read anything that you posted here that was offensive. Please tell me the person who did this to you (if it was a blogger) is at least banned from this site.

I just don't understand why somebody would want to hurt you, cause you to lose your job! There are some mean people in this world. As I said before...what goes around comes around.

I have always been afraid to put my name out there or too much information, because of a few nuts on here.

I wish I was in a position to help you somehow. I do wish you and yours the best always.
