I never did get the first name of the mystery Agent Anderson. After 45mins of being tranfered and put on hold I didn't think of it.

I guess we both have a very different perception of this. It will be interesting to see if Simmons replys to the questions.

As far as the sentencing hearing, I believe I stated that the Judge addressed all of the "top officials" he never named each one specifically.

I appreciate your time and effort. I think the best thing to come out of all of this, is that people who are normally complacent about elections are doing some research, to make sure that they make the right decision.

I did reach Joe S. at the Detroit Free Press. He stated to me he has no dog in this fight. He said and I quote " I had a very cordial and professional relationship with Dave Simmons." He went on to state that in his investigations about Hart the investigations never led him to Simmons. He went on to say that McKinnon was never charged. You can check with the U.S.Attorney's records to verify. He also elaborated that McKinnon was never charged. The frepp and the detnews are resources available to anyone who wants to research and had given that info to you. He went on to state that the public records speak for themselves.

Joe S. also cautioned me that anyone can spin stories to fit their agenda.

I am waiting on a callback from a contact from the FBI. I will let you know the outcome once that conversation takes place.

Wow, when I talked to Mr. Swickard he said he didn't remember Simmons. He was very chatty about all of the problems at the police dept.and all of the investigations into different incidents of corruption.

Did he send you any of the articles he wrote on any of the different incidents we talked about?

Yes, people can spin stories, and even crime stats., and investigations to fit whatever agenda they want to promote.

up Simmons name. He didn't. I wanted to let him know as to why I was contacting him specifically. I believe there is enough info on this site to cover what I need to discern.

Speaking of Simmons, I saw a sign of his on a vacant lot in Fayetteville today. If the owner of that lot knew about it, I'm sure the sign would be down in 30 minutes or less. I haven't called him...yet.

Simmons needs to ask his supporters not to place signs unless they have permission. If another candidate's sign is there, it's because the owner wants it there.

This is becoming a pet peeve of mine. If you are going to critcize Simmons for putting a sign on a vacant lot, the let's call them all to task. How about Ballard,(alot in the right of way) Hearn (specializes in high grass placements) and especially Wingo who has a sign on every vacant, abandoned and unoccupied structure in the county. Not only that, but I read in the free speech section that he had one in a cemetary. Somebody needs to inform these people that signs do not vote, people vote. Too many signs is bad enough, but too many in places where you know that did not ask permission sends a whole different message. It tells us who is willing to play by the rules and who isn't.

Is it true that the county marshals, who should be confiscating illegal signs have been told to not be so aggressive with enforcement? I heard that a community meeting the other night.

Would it make you feel better if I listed everybody? I thought that the term "all" was fairly inclusive. The three I named are the biggest offenders. That's what I was pointing out. I have already said on this blog that I dislike the signs. But what I like even less is to see signs where they are not supposed to be, regardless of whose name is on it. Are you trying to tell me that signs in a cemetary are acceptable? Something like that is at least in poor taste.

Susieq, am I to assume that since you did not like my post you are FOR these three people? If you are then fine. But don't assume anything about who I support just because I point out the obvious.
As I said in the earlier post, I do not make my voting decisions based on the number of signs somebody puts out. If you do, then, well, that is your choice. I will stick with voting for the candidate that I feel will do what is best for the citizens of this county.
