Tyrone's Budget Meeting

Who was really hurt in all of this were those good employees in Tyrone. Last night, several employees lost their jobs, i.e. there were no funds alloted for their positions. Now those left are being punished for Valerie and Barry's poor decisions. No argument here from me on the employee's having to pay for their dependents's insurance coverage, but it does need mentioning, they now have to supplement their insurance where before they didn't, also, they lost their long term disability, which has to hurt for the public works and police department. Imagine the risks they endure each and every day. Then they lost the possiblity for a cola raise and merit raise. I know the council said that they would look into it and possibly add it later. I can't imagine that the morale of those employees left is too good. I hope that Council does something to ensure that the good employees are taken care of and appreciated. I encourage all the Tyrone citizens that value certain city employees that you help rally their spirits so that we don't lose good personnel.

You are talking raise? The town is 1 million in debt! If they don't do something you will be looking for a job. If there is a ...RAISE...the taxpayers are gonna run everyone out on a rail..

Grace ....SALVAGED... your job by cutting....be glad you got one...that is more than can be said for a lot of taxpayers who don't have 100pct health coverage, no where near it, who are paying for yours...A lot of them don't even have health care insurance! Are you nuts? Why do you deserve something the over taxed people from this area don't have? You need to go out in the job market now and have a look see.

I want to see a copy of a W2 for every employee of Tyrone for 2007. How much overtime have we been paying/how much unused vacation pay? /100 pct health care? This is way out of line for the meager income of the people who live here. If you feel so sorry for yourself...Hit the street...I ain't singing poor pitiful you!

Is there something wrong with this picture?
