Why wait til they are dead?

I sometimes read Cal Thomas' syndicated column. Hardly ever agree with the majority of what he says. He makes his living generally writing stuff that a certain large number of citizens want to hear. He seldom varies that mind-frame.

However his piece this week about Ted Kennedy, although written a bit late, does show that Cal has a reasonable side to him, albeit not used much.

Kennedy certainly wasn't totally sensible as a younger man and got caught at it a time or two. He managed to get out of trouble like most that age do who are generally responsible people. His brothers were a little more cautious with their "acting like Father," but paid the ultimate price.

This Kennedy, as Cal said, was a reasonable Senator. He gave and he got. There has never been a more dedicated public servant.

We must have two parties in our government to exist and he represented one of them very well.

Maybe he can continue that for a few more years.

Not again, you stated this gem:

"Ever since he and his democrat buddies took over the majority in 2006 we have been in a steady downward trend."

Please, not again, for the sake of honesty, tell me what economic and foreign relations policies have changed since the republican administration set them from 2001 to 2006? How in the world can you try to insinuate that the "downward trend" started with the entry of the democratic majority which has not reversed Bush tax cuts and has not changed the landscape in Iraq? That is not an honest assessment you have offered to us.

Now, Git and not again. You, Git, pride yourself in calling it like it is and not being a hypocrite. Why oh why oh why do we never hear of 17 year old Michael Douglas or Political aide Lori Klausutis from you cherubs of justice? As you won't tell us, Michael Douglas was Laura Welch Bush's ex boyfriend who was killed when Laura Bush ran a stop sign and hit him with her car. Why do you think, Git and Not again, a sobriety test was not done? Why do you folks suppose there were no charges; just a dead 17 year old boy?

As you two also will never tell us, why oh why was Joe Scarborough, the Virginia Republican, given a pass by EVERYONE when his mistress and aide was found dead in HIS OFFICE on July 21st, 2001? I'm surprised you Marcus Welby's don't have the autopsy results. How can you Ironsides not have the court records. You were able to convict Ted Kennedy of crimes you think he committed. WHY STOP THERE? How about some investigating past cocaine use by high level deniers in chief? How about some retroactive DUI checkpoints? How about, at certain times, WE JUST WISH HUMAN BEINGS FACING INCREDIBLE PERSONAL CHALLENGES GOD'S SPEED, AND A QUICK RECOVERY? Nothing "christiany" here at all to you , GIT?

I do wish Ted well....

Me too! I wish a far better life and health for Teddy than he allowed Mary Joe to have. Smiling

Get well soon Teddy!

Ted Kennedy has an inoperable brain tumor, but Git can't pass up an opportunity to take a political shot at him.

Stay classy, Git...you certainly are a credit to your Southern Baptist filth...err,faith.

So Sneeefles.... Like I said. I have much more compassion for him that his family has had for others.

What has been troubling to me is that friends of my family have been jerked around by doctors working on their tumor. It seems good ole Teddy took precedence. Guess elitist have a right to that privilege.

Now go back to being hateful and have a great life.

Oh.. BTW. It is refreshing to see you being the staunch Christian these days. Especially after your past professions of being a Muslim and then an atheist. Good day Hate Boy!
