Mr. and Mrs. Randy Young of Fayetteville announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Ivy Young, to James William Georgia, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dale Georgia also of Fayetteville.

The bride-to-be is a 2004 graduate of Fayette County High School and a 2008 graduate of The University of West Georgia where she earned a bachelor of business administration degree in marketing, cum laude. She was a member of Alpha Xi Delta sorority where she served as president. She currently is a full-time graduate student pursuing a masters degree in business administration and will graduate in August 2009.

The groom-elect is a 2003 graduate of Sandy Creek High School and a 2007 graduate of The University of West Georgia where he earned a bachelor of business administration degree in management. He was a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity where he served as president. He currently is employed as a metro jobsite specialist for Wacker Neuson.

A wedding is planned for July 18, 2009, at Carillon Beach in Florida.
