Lets get those bicycles off the Road!!!

No No, I don't mean it but, perhaps you'll read what I have to say.

The recent blog titled "Open letter to Kevin "Hack" King has saddened me. Can we just lighten up a little bit? We all have disagreements and view things differently but at the end of the day our political leanings and views on things do not change no matter what is said. I’m not advocating that we stop the verbal sparring but please, no personal attacks.

Now about those pesky cyclists............

We passed about 20 women cyclists on a main road and of course they were four wide for conversation purposes, but did start to peel off to singles and doubles so that we didn't have to cross the double lines to get by on the curve, but it took a long time due to the bickering as to whom would actually fall back some and when.
Meanwhile our car stalled and had to be restarted, which ticked off the people behind me who happened to be those stretch suits salesmen for male and female bike riders. As soon as they saw the problem, they approached the ladies, apologized, and showed them the new samples in their car trunk.
The real appeal of these new suits is that certain areas of the suits do peel of by means of Velcro, and larger pieces can then be added in for those needed areas, and yet leave everything as tight as ever.
They sold several on the spot. Some for their husbands and Cyclist.
We finally got by when the firetruck came and an officer directed traffic.
The officer suggested that the riders use the cart paths but the girls said the tree root bumps shook their vital parts too much, and some of the hills were extreme. Besides speeding carts thump bikes right off the trail! Cars are much more considerate.
Some of those bikes hadn't been oiled since last summer and were squeaking terribly from hanging in the garage or out back against the house. But it is the fashionable thing to do in May! Gyms are for winter. It also makes great conversation on Friday at Longhorns and at the bars, where the poundage can be re-added.

Regarding the Open Letter to Hack, I really did not have any skin in the game other than to put in my comments when I felt that saying nothing about certain entries was not appropriate. The fact that this subject exemplifed is this: You can not be so right that you can do something wrong and still be right.

You're so right. We sometimes hide behind our keyboards and loose all sense of civility. I realize that without verbal sparring that blogging would be dull to say the least, however; attacking individuals like we seen is so caustic that I for one would just rather do something else with my time.

I don't know; perhaps I'm not cut out for this stuff. I do need to lose some weight so maybe I should spend more time riding and working-out at the gym. That would make Mrs. Cy happy because she has been riding my ****** because I spend way too much time on-line. Smiling

Ride on. I need to loose some weight too. I particularly notice this when I am riding uphill.
I think you are very cut out for this. Your contributions are great and I personally enjoy them. Thank you.
