Honor Flight vets meet soldiers

These current U.S. soldiers met some of our local World War II veterans participating in the Honor Flight on Wednesday. The veterans toured the WWII Memorial among other stops during their whirlwind, day long tour of Washington, D.C.

This was a super effort on the part of Fayette stalwarts (Gail Sparrow, Mark Buckner, and their entire volunteer group -- and the greater Fayette community). The trip to DC was also a lesson for the current day 'soldier, sailor, marine, and airman' what their service means to this country -- not only for today, but what it will mean 50 or 60 years from now. GREAT EFFORT FAYETTE STALWARTS!!
