I read this little piece in the ajc this morning.

So is Mr. Lowery saying that the only way blacks can get ahead is by hiring based on color??

Is he saying that they cannot compete when people are hired based on merit alone??

to insist someone is given a job on their color and not their merit is wrong. As someone stated on here "reparations have been paid in the form of affirmative action." This airline is struggling to live and this is blackmail. They need the best to run it.

When I go to the airport all I see are African Americans. And they are not nice to the customers. Entitlement is wrong. Maybe they need to be given the diversity training.

I think the complaint about Delta not hiring enough blacks is not those you see ("all I see are African-Americans") but those in the offices and cockpits!
Maybe they don't want those jobs, I don't know, but I think they want more than to carry bags and put up with flying public all day!

Doesn't everyone at Delta? The point is, Delta is struggling for its very life.

To hire someone because they are black and not the best, is wrong.

It takes years of military service or lots of money for private flight training, to have the hours and the knowledge to be qualified to crawl in that cockpit in charge of the people's lives. When they start doing affirmative action in the cockpit is when everyone quits flying.

Maybe the NAACP should open a flight school? Blacks only

Delta needs to be hiring the best of the best, regardless of skin color.

We know how well things turn out when people are hired or voted into office based on the color of their skin. Just look at the Clayton County school board.

Lowry reminds me of Sharpton in this regard. Their both a couple of race pimps.
