Mike and C's drug bust

A Citizen reader just submitted this photo depicting the aftermath of a "felony takedown" executed by the Fayette County Sheriff's Office Drug Task Force in the Wilshire Pavilion shopping center parking lot Friday afternoon.

Two of the four persons arrested face charges of selling cocaine in the bathroom at Mike and C's. DTF agents waited until they left the restaurant to arrest the suspects at gunpoint.

I think Jody needs to put these guys on some sort of diet. Lattitude 33 every day for lunch is catching up to them. Im sure its on the county, its all good.

How ignorant can one be? If you know where these guys eat, why would you publish it?

These guys put their lives on the line every day for all of us (including you)!!!!!

I hope that Cal will delete it.

I'm sure even criminals from clayco know that you can always find plenty of cops in or out of uniform at Long Branch, Melear's and Latitude33. Notice how some bozo will wave a gun at Dunkin' Donuts but hasn't tried the 3 places I just named?

Ohhh put a sock in it. They dont put there life on the line for me. They are actually pretty lazy. Dtf agents arent out patrolling, they dont even drive squad cars. Unmarked cars, their own hours. about all they do is, bust someone, tell all sorts of lies to get that person to say where they got it, and agree to set them up, then bust that person and so on and so forth. How is that putting their life on the line for me?

I am not sure if you are just trying to agitate dalmation, but in any event this is an asinine post. If you are not smart enough to understand that these officers are dealing with well armed, often desperate criminals who would rather shoot a cop than go to jail, then you are not smart enough to stay in the gene pool. They are protecting you simply by getting drugs off the street where you drive, walk and live. Maybe you would rather they not do their job so you can get carjacked by your friendly neighborhood meth head in need of his next hit. If you have nothing better to add, then go away.

Oh give me a break. I would love for one try and car jack me. ONE LESS in the world.

Have you been in there? It's small stinky gross and has a kids "arcade" right outside the door ... can't beleive cops agreed to a deal at this place .... hope the come up with a more hygenic and safer place for their next deal ... maybe Three Dollar? Oh yeah, never mind....

A little FYI to the criminals: Fayette county isn't a good place to be a criminal. SERIOUSLY! Stay in clayton county the cops are easy on crime.

I'm glad they aren't working the traffic division someone in a little red convertible could get hurt.

what the perp's face looks like much less the swat type dudes. Geez!

Note to bad guys: Don't sell drugs to big, beefy white dudes with vests that say "Sheriff's Dept" on the back. I assume the "buyer" was someone different. Good job, guys! Nice pic, Peter Parker!

but the angle of the photo makes the good guys look like they got some big butts!

"Hey, do these jeans make my butt look fat?"

I'm surprised that some aren't demanding that they wear coat and tie to project a "professional image" while they are grappling with dangerous suspects known for violence, up to and including killing.

that this photo had not been published. It did not do the sheriff's department any good that I can see to have undercover personnel's photo on the internet.

Only one officer's face can be seen. I am assuming that, based on how he is dressed, he is not part of the DTF undercover team. If he is, he needs to work on his disguise.

If you can pick these people out of a crowd based on this photo more power to you. I think they are safe.

I agree that, had there been more visible, seeing this would have not been a good idea. However, I cling to the hope that the Citizen would not have published this without some similar assessment of risk.

risk analysis on my part. I like to err on the side of caution.

Do those 300 pound Bubba's look like anybody youall know on the Sheriff's department? They couldn't pass the physical

Submitted by thenatural on Wed, 05/14/2008 - 2:45pm.

What you see, as a rule, are well trained, physically fit officers (male and female), with an attitude, bulked up by weight training and the necessary vests and other equipment that they need to be as safe as possible.

Tell you what sage, if you want to test their physical fitness and willingness to enforce the law, be my guest.

I don't think marathoners are what they look for in this department.
