Proven Scientific Fact: Democrats can make time stand still!I didn't get politically aware myself until I'd say in the late 60's, early 70's. Now, as a child, time tends to go by very slowly, and as you get older, times seems to speed up. But, I've noticed another anomaly. When Jimmy Carter was President, I believe time stopped for a while. Then Reagan was with us only for 8 years, but it seemed like just a wink of an eye. Bush 41, was a blurr. Was there a 41st President? Clinton, my god, that 8 years took about 20 years out of me. I couldn't wait for it to end. So many screw-ups, so many corrupt politicians, so many lies to protect power and not integrity and principle. Then came the election in 2000, where rules could be changed AFTER the election. That 33 day period was like an eternity. Everyday something else was happening, but nothing ever seemed to get resolved. Finally Bush 43 came along and time started ticking away very quickly. His 8 years are again, drifting by as if they never occurred. The Clinton Presidency never ended, it seems with Hillary still on the scene. I can't even imagine what will happen if Barack is elected. Abortion right are made stronger. Laws punishing opposition to them are signed, to where its considered hate speech to attempt to dissuade a women, or minor from having an abortion. Christmas at the White House will be in stiff competition to Kwanzaa. One more Federal Holiday is set aside for government workers to go home. Welfare programs are again added back into the federal budget. The tax burden will shift from the top 55% of the earners in this country to the top 40% of the earners, thereby having a majority of the electorate that pays no taxes at all. (I wonder who they will vote for to represent them?) Race relations will sour. Charges of racism on the evening news will accompany any news report that criticizes anything Obama or his wife might say. Politicians, never elected to a single office, e.g. Sharpton and Jackson, will be given high profile positions or given more notoriety than ever before. The leaders of Syria, North Korea, Venezuela, and Iran will be invited to White House dinners and then given the microphone from the West Wing to quell freedom fighters in their own countries. If the U.S. won't stand up to dictators, how can the masses of oppressed people do it. The next 4 years might see me turn 50, but truth be told, I'll be reaching 100 as I lay there dumbfounded by how ignorant the American could be in electing an avowed Marxist/Racist/Liberal under the guise of Hope and Change.
