By: John Munford
An 11-year-old boy avoided a potential child abduction Thursday afternoon, according to deputies with the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office. The boy, who was in the Horseman’s Run subdivision off Goza Road in south Fayette County between 5:15 and 5:30 p.m., was approached by a young man who asked the boy to get into his truck, according to an email circulated by the subdivision’s community association. The boy, who was playing near the tennis courts at the time, said no and went to a neighbor’s house while the suspect got away, according to the email. The suspect was described as a white male between 18-20 years old with brown hair and a goatee who was wearing a light blue visor over a red and black bandanna, deputies said. The suspect drove a teal green full-size pickup truck, officials said. login to post comments |
