Let's say last year you paid $2.15 a gallon and this year it's $3.65.
You have a 1,000 mile round trip drive and your car averages 20 miles to a gallon.

At $2.15 per gallon the trip would cost you $107.50
At $3.65 per gallon the trip would cost you #182.50

Are you actually telling us that an additional $75 in fuel cost is going to affect your summer travel plans?

Get serious... stop the panic ... sure it's high, thanks to Pelosi, Reid and the gang for stopping the USA from being being self sufficient on oil and not allowing us to drill in the gulf or in Anwr.

But when you do the match, it's not that much... that's less than one month cell phone payment.

I'm Still Going To Fuel My Gas Guzzler for our multiple summer trips. Only thing is..... I'll probably start killing the engine every time Mrs. Git and the Gitlets go in to pee. Smiling

I say, as long as the fuel is being consumed with the good of the world in mind, via the happiness of the Gits, this is a good investment. You could choose days when you have a strong tail wind.
