A Decatur husband and wife have been arrested by sheriff’s deputies after she allegedly was paid to have sex with a man at a south Fayetteville home early Saturday morning, according to warrants for their arrest. The local man who paid for the services alerted Fayetteville police later in the day, maintaining that he was robbed of his $300 because the woman never had sex with him, police said. The woman claimed that she was paid $300 only to dance for the man, police said. The husband, Asmar Hameen, 34, was charged with pimping and robbery for allegedly stealing $300 from the man who sought out the sexual services, according to the documents. The wife, Nicole Renae Hameen, 29, was charged with prostitution, which is a misdemeanor. Mrs. Hameen was paid $300 to have intercourse with the man at his home on Harp Road, according to arrest warrants. That “client,” identified as Chad Griffith, 34, had called an escort service requesting a particular woman, according to Lt. Belinda McCastle of the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office. Fayetteville police said Griffith first reported the robbery to their officers, who subsequently arrested him at Larry’s Giant Subs for possession of cocaine and possession of a concealed weapon. Fayetteville officers were told that Mrs. Hameen claimed she was being paid the $300 to dance but not to have sex, said Fayetteville Police Capt. Steve Crawshaw. At the time, Griffith claimed he was robbed because she was paid $300 for sex that never took place, police said. Suspected marijuana and cocaine were found in Griffith’s vehicle after a search that was touched off by a positive “hit” from a drug-sniffing dog, Crawshaw said. Prostitution-related arrests are extremely rare in Fayette County, judging by arrest lists compiled by local law enforcement agencies which are reviewed continuously by The Citizen. As of Tuesday afternoon Griffith and Mrs. Hameen had bonded out of jail while Mr. Hameen remained in jail. Asmar Hameen’s bond was set at $27,000 with a condition that he not return to Fayette County except to report to court, meet with attorneys to prepare his defense or for a medical emergency. login to post comments |
