Gospel sounds...

I know that some of you may think that this is VERY out of character, but I just listened to Irma Thomas's "Hold to God's Unchanging Hand" and was blown away. I do not know how many of you are familiar with her work, but this particular gospel piece is AWESOME. Keep the faith.

I wasn't raised where songs were called "gospel." Religious music maybe. The Gospels were M,M,L& J!

I see the same dudes singing "gospels" that sing hip-hop and tell nasty jokes on BET!

The white "gospel songers" used to be "road dudes" who traveled from bar to bar, and church to church, for a fee.

I haven't kept up with them lately so I don't know who they are now, except selling stuff on TV.

Can we not mix in real religion with these gangsters?
All those girls who travel with the "gospel singers" usually end up leaving their husband for a piano player, or get pregnant.

Wow, can you believe we like the same song? This is my favorite singer. Great song - ejoy!

We all have different styles of music we like- this guy is so soulful. He's not even SBC. As if that matters, what matters is accepting you have sinned and accept Jesus in your heart to forgive you. That is what matters.
