I did mine through TurboTax.

I was unsure on one of the questions. I emailed a colleague who is not a philosopher and therefore understands these things. He delayed in getting back to me, so I got impatient and tried to think it through myself.

I checked a box and....COOL!!!!! I get a whopping big rebate!

I filed and the Federal Taxes were accepted in less than 24 hours. I get a message that the whopping big rebate will be direct deposited in a matter of days.

Next day, my colleague writes back with the answer.

I checked the wrong box.

So I went back in, backed the program up to that spot, and checked the correct box. The little window that shows the rebate started reducing the number drastically (like a gas pump display in reverse).
It still shows a rebate, but SUBSTANTIALLY less.

Shoot.

I guess what will happen is the money comes to me. Then, in a few months, I'll get this nice letter from the IRS politely requesting that I return the extra.

There goes that new Honda.

Philosophers should never be permitted to handle financial affairs.

Know how ya feel, I use to wait till the last day.

Then I got this new accountant (my wife), and now I have to file by the 15th of March. Which means I’m broke about 30 days sooner than I use to be.

Funny thing though, she always has money and I’m always broke.

Do you feel like this?

My CPA (who works miracles) got me to zero and gave me this photo.
