A Fine Example Of Democrat Civility & Unity

As former President Bill Clinton was extolling his wife's credentials, Obama's campaign office in Bloomington began giving away tickets to Sunday's Dave Matthews concert at Assembly Hall.

Jason Schechtman, 19, Deerfield, Ill., a student at IU, got his tickets about 8 p.m. after waiting more than three hours. He met folks in line who said they'd left the Clinton rally to wait for tickets.

"I was leaning toward Obama, but this sealed the deal for sure,"he said. "The Obama campaign announced this right as (Bill Clinton) was about to speak, and it brought everyone from over there to over here."

Yup! There's some real intellectual depth amongst those librul Obama supporters. And Hack and others want us to believe that the Democrats are the party of the "grown-ups"? Puzzled

Honest question: Remember a few months ago when the Democrats were making fun of how the Republicans were disorganized and the candidates were being ugly and nasty toward each other? Remember Basmati and others making fun of the lack of unity and civility during the Republican primaries? Where is the mocking and outrage toward their own clown candidates behaving poorly? Or is it as Basmati Sniffles once told me: "What do you expect from me Git? You can't expect me to go after my bad guys." It was amazing as to how he made it clear to me that there was nothing he was going to hold his side accountable for if it hurt the Democrats and benefited the Republicans. Party over integrity appears to be be the motto of the left irregardless of the crimes committed.

SO WHAT GOES HERE? - Could this be an example of more of how the Democrats are above the fray?

I think you are misunderestimating our well known liberal nuance here.

The division between the Democrats now is just from a few people who are not the leaders who pay attention to whats going on. The is overheated rhetoric everywhere but not usually by the party wheels, me friend James Carville notwithstanding. He's what we call a "special case" uh... emphasis on "case".

Look behind the scene at what is actually happening in the Party. Record turnout, record new registration (Penn. just went over 4.1 million an all time record for either party while Republican and Independent registration fell), ever widening appeal to new constituency groups and record fund raising.

The whole Obama/Clinton duel is great for the party. The D's will come together as they almost always have. Its the liberals we have trouble with and I admit that the Kennedy liberal wing didn't help Carter but that was an exception and liberal Hillary people are not going to sit out supporting Obama. The longer the race goes on the better for the party (assuming its over before the convention and it will be).

Obama just went over 1 million contributors, gained 3 to 4 points in Penn. polls and registered almost 200,000 new voters there. There will be a steady string of super delegate endorsements in the news until after the last primary then they'll seal the deal for him.

Meanwhile, McCain can barely get his name in the paper now.

I expect the race to tighten up to a razors edge eventually and I don't know if the US will elect Obama, but for now all the good news is on the Democrats side.
