Inflation

Just as was the case with too much borrowing for the last several years, by individuals and by the government, we now have too much inflation in food, fuel, taxes, and other items.

These things happen of course but are usually controlled in advance by our government. Not by this administration however.

They lied about the government borrowing and ignored the certain housing "bust" that was coming. I also suspect that they have been lying about the war costs--already spent and that much more to come--just to get out of it. I know they lied about the oil paying the way in Iraq.

They certainly have been lying about the inflation figures also.

Inflation is now becoming so obvious that they can not further lie, but are attempting to cover it up.

The stacked domino effect is happening:
Bread costs more due to other uses for grain; everything that is made of or by petroleum is increasing rapidly; Local taxes are increasing due to the inflation and they don't lay-off anyone, of course.

It would be un-republican to do anything about it!!!!

Thank you sage for your inflation comments. I was beginning to think that only I and Ron Paul understood the biggest problem. You’re right, the Federal Reserve’s printing of paper money without any asset backing will destroy our monetary system and bring all of our Ronnie Chance representatives to their knees. Let’s keep talking about this most serious problem.

What evil deeds lurks in the hearts of those in government? The Shadow knows, and so does The Sage.

Sage,
Since you said "it would be un-republican to do something.

What specific things do you propose they or the democrats do?

If less spending is involved which items to you want to cut?

Tax what it takes to pay the bills! Do it at the same time as the spending bill is passed.

Begin to collect tariffs on imports that we can do ourself.

Locally, cap the budget at the collection level. That includes cops, firemen, and office workers.

Cut school budgets by 30%. The same level as they are producing, if that. Teach students trades who can or will not learn.
Fire teachers who are unresponsive.

This sort of suggesting could go on indefinitely.

Unnecessary borrowed money, unnecessary wars, and vote polarization are un-democratic!
