Ballard ‘outstanding’ as a D.A.

Over the course of the last few weeks, I have been shocked at the attacks on our district attorney, Scott Ballard. It is my understanding that it has been reported that a few people in our community have referred to Scott as a “devil” and “wicked.”

I recently finished my term as president of the Fayette County Bar Association. It was my honor and pleasure to work with the distinguished men and women of Fayette County who make up this organization. This group is made up of your friends, neighbors, and church members. Scott is, and has always been, an outstanding member of this organization.

As a lifelong resident of Fayette County, I have had the privilege of knowing Scott for many years, both personally and professionally. It is encouraging to find such a dedicated, hard-working individual represent us as district attorney without any agenda.

I do not see a “devil” or “wicked” individual, but a district attorney working tirelessly to uphold the laws of the state of Georgia.

Keep up the good work, Scott.

Scott has only recently awoke to the fact that he is D freaken A. The last 2 cases that made the paper seem to suggest that he understands his job more clearly. It took us awhile to get scooter to see the wisdom of tough sentences.

I agree with those with the opinion that Ballard is looking for the next photo opportunity - the Benoit murders/suicide case with the national/worldwide coverage did not help - now he has a website that tells all about how tough he is on crime - of course, he left out the stories mentioned above. A District Attorney should be there to do his job, take it seriously and with dignity - not acting arrogant and just being plain rude to people he supposedly represents. Like my daddy always said - "if you can't cut it as a real lawyer, you become a district attorney"!

Hey Thompson! That is the most disgusting display of butt kissing I've ever read in my life. Your exaltation of District Attorney Softy Ballard makes any proud Obama worshiper look like a lightweight wannabe zealot.

Who exactly are you trying to fool with that ditzy display of foolish blathering? Take it to the campaign trail you goof. The readers of these blogs are far to intelligent and informed to fall for your silliness?

But, considering you're a Bar Hack and the fact that you work for the law firm you do, it's easy to understand where you perfected your brown nosing skills from. Go grow up and stop trying to defend the indefensible.

Only a lawyer would be shocked at someone challenging the incompentency of one of it's peers.

Good Grief Charlie Brown...... What are you trying to do? You've probably embarrassed Richard Hobbs for being a lawyer like Lynn Westmoreland embarrasses Republicans for being called the same.

Does that clown not know or understand the well documented proof and arguements that are archived on this site? Doesn't this lawyer hack no this is the last place he oughta be dangling his predator loving trial lawyer DA in attempt to garnish support? And when have we ever heard a lawyer criticize another lawyer or a judge? It just doesn't happen. But write a gushing letter for the DA and you just might earn yourself a solid !

Hearing one lawyer chirping for another is about as persuasive as hearing Britney Spears applauding the moral character of Paris Hilton.
