Obama: Not a Crackpot Church

"Speaking via telephone, Obama said his Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago was a mainstream religious group and reiterated claims that Wright's controversial comments were taken out of context."-"This is a pillar of the community, and if you go there on Easter, this Easter Sunday, and you sat down there in the pew, you would think this is just like any other church."

In Easter Sermon, Trinity United Pastor compares Rev. Wright to Jesus

"In a sunrise Easter sermon, Rev. Otis Moss III never mentioned Wright by name, but implied that his mentor, who has delivered sermons in which he likened the U.S. to the Ku Klux Klan and declared it damned for its “state-sponsored terrorism,” is facing the same challenges Jesus did.
“No one should start a ministry with lynching, no one should end their ministry with lynching,” Moss said.

“If I was Ice Cube I’d say it a little differently — ‘You picked the wrong folk to mess with,’” Moss said to an enthusiastic congregation, standing up during much of the sermon, titled “How to Handle a Public Lynching.”

Barack is wright, er, I mean right! It Trinity United is just like any other church! My pastor is always quoting thug-rappers in his sermons.

You know, every time I click on a new post under the 'Blog' section, there you are posting another rant about boogieman Obama. Are you really that sceeered of a black man in the Oval Office (other than to empty the waste basket, of course).

Question for you beav.... I'm going to assume you have kids, as most of us do on here. What if your son or daughter brought home a black person and said that they were intending on marrying them?

Kind of like the 'Who's Coming to Dinner' scenario.

Would you freak out? Would your head spin around?? Would you disown them? Would the thought of them together doing... well, you know... with a black person, make you retch?

Another question.... What if your son or daughter 'came out' to you and told you they were gay? Would you disown them? Alot of parents do.

I'm just wondering where you draw the 'bigot' line?
