To the crazy woman in the Prius at Kmart

In case you have forgotten, pedestrians have the right of way. My 3 year old can only walk so fast. How dare you scream at us to get out of your way. You would greatly benefit from some anger management courses.

I'm so sick and tired of the rude people in Peachtree City. I let at least 3 people go in front of me today and not one said thanks, waved, nothing. And no one let me out when I was waiting. What happened to southern hospitality? Is it because of all the yankee transplants? When someone lets you out in traffic, it is polite to wave a thank you. I wish I had a dollar for every person I've heard say, "You don't want to live in Peachtree City. It's full of a bunch of rude snobs." I know this doesn't include everyone, but it's the majority that I've run into lately.

I always let people out, too! I love doing it. Everyday, when I stop to turn left onto Hwy 85 Conn I always let the whole line of cars out. It's great!! Traffic backs up behind and I know that some people get mad, but whatever. It's my good deed for the day (I try to do at least one a day)and it feels good to do it!

It's illegal to stop prior to making a left turn? I must have missed that one. What do you do? Take it on two wheels?

Take a photo of the car - better yet the license plate and send it to the owner of the car. 9 times out of ten it is a kid or wife with an attitude and the father or husband who is paying for the car (insurance, repairs and sometimes gas) is really upset that his little princess or queen has an attitude then the problem goes away one way or another.

And if a crime is involved - send the photo to the police.

Most cell phones have a camera - use it.

Rudeness is everywhere these days. Try Florida if you think it is rude here. You will come back and want to kiss the ground.

I lived in Florida for 14 years! I've never seen meaner old people in my life than down there. And they hated kids. We called them snowbirds. I guess that's where my inclination towards those from the north came from. Smiling

Peachtree City was even better in the mid 1970s. Back then we only had 3,200 people living here.

So you can guess how I fell now that you are here.

Sorry you just hit a sore spot.

Have a nice day, and look both ways.

christi, I agree with you, there are some very rude people in PTC and in F.C. However, I have lived in Fayette County for 6 years now, and
having moved here from the North I can tell you that it is MUCH more civil and pleasant than here. In my opinion, the whole concept of southern hospitality is a crock. Since I have lived here I have observed that most people do not acknowledge you when letting them in front of you in traffic, through an intersection, in line, holding doors open for them etc. and many other situations. Not a common wave or gesture at all. Not so in the North where I came from (NJ, Upstate NY and NYC). Don't get me wrong, if you do something wrong in traffic, or generally drive with your head up your butt (as many seem to do around here), they will let you know about it. So, I don't believe that it is the Yankees who have moved here. Maybe it's that all y'all, "born in the south, die in the south" with the "God made me a southerner, praise the Lord" attitude southerners, are so upset with people wanting to encroach on your "little slice of heaven" that have become bitter and mean.

I thought all those rude people in PTC were the damn yankees. I once lived in South Fla and it was FULL of NY, NJ & NYC folks. They have the rudest drivers I have ever seen anywhere. When I was stationed in Germany, I found them to be the best drivers anywhere and never rude. (even with their German way) You might want to move to Germany. It is a wonderful place. But, for me, give me good ole Fayette County even with it's faults. I have lived many places and this is the best.

You are right the South is a bad place full of rude people.

So go back home.

But Don't Drive North Alone.

Take a Load of Yankees with you.

awww......don't get mad wulfy.....bless your heart I was only joshin' ya. Let me ask you something. Why is it that the standard answer in the south is always that it is a dissatisfied Yankee, or that Yankees are to blame..yada yada. Whereas, up North, that is NEVER the case. In other words, a Northerner will not tell someone who has moved from down south to go back to where they came from, or if it's so much better where you are from why don't you move back etc. They are welcomed and embraced despite their funny talk and shortcomings. Smiling wulf, you're acting like another 4 letter word.......just when I was gonna say how much I liked the self portrait avatar. Peace brah

WOW,

Such anger and from a deadhead, who would of thunk?
You must have run out of acid.

Let me get this straight you hate everyone in the south but love everyone in Yankee land.
Yet you chose to live in the south? We talk funny and have major short comings, yet you chose to live in the south?
I suspect on your first trip to Atlanta you asked someone where the turlet was and they said what? Then you asked for directions to Turdy-Turd Street and they said what?
Yeah, we talk funny down hear LOL.

I simply stated that if you don’t like living here move you’re behind back to the hell hole that you escaped from. If you don’t have enough money for gas I’m sure you can get a cheap ticket on the Grey Dog it runs north. But it would be much better if you can drive and take a load of Yankees with you.

I am sure that you are well versed in the use of four letter words most Yankees are.

Thank you for almost complimenting me on my self portrait. I though it was a rather good photo.

Peace to you also, may you find it back in Yankee land.
