Health costs

I have all of the health insurance that I can buy and yet I have enough health bills to be able to have a deduction each year on my income taxes. That of course also includes the amounts I pay for insurance.

The following scenarios are out of hand:

40 minutes in a dentist office with a technician, and 3-4 minutes with a professional--no materials used-- $250.00

20 minutes at an Optometrist's office, including a technician's time--no glasses or frames bought-- $185.00

Frames and lenses, tri-focals--- $500.00

Two tooth implants, with caps--- $8000.00

One bridge of two teeth and two false teeth--- $6500.00

Two Mri's of an eye--- $3600.00

The MRI's were covered by insurance, the others not.

There is no sympathy for those in such situations by those who happen to work for a generous company--such as Delta.
The whole cost thing is driven by such companies so that the medical industry can collect the maximum.

We have created too many jobs for the medical industry and pay them too much money. Most doctors do not deserve to be millionaires, nor administrators and supervisors paid like pilots.

We need to train many more doctors at lesser salaries (pay their way) and not so many OTHER related people.

We can never fill jobs falsely to make up for our lost manufacturing capabilities and at the expense of those 40% of us who have no insurance!

I feel fortunate that I get by as cheaply as I do, but I also see total failure with the current system---just like the housing industry, happening soon!

The 63,000 jobs lost, above the adds, last month would have been much worse if the medical industry had not added a bunch!
