Property taxes on homes

I keep hearing that it is hard if not impossible to sell a home for anywhere near what it is worth.
If this is the case, then how will the county calculate home worth for the next county tax due on homes?

Will they still use the higher numbers when homes were selling?
Just how much can they jack-up the mil rate to make up for the lesser value of our homes, assuming they do evaluate them at their real worth?

Isn't now the time for someone to estimate just how much less the tax digest will decrease next time and have a plan to balance the budget?

Will they gag, choke, gag, actually layoff unneeded people? Will they cut trips, supplies (not schools--they haven't any), or will they not?

I expect about 40-50 answers from the county soon! Not really.

It would not sell my home for the value the County has on it right now. It's worth more on the market.

What market?

Unless it is a castle, appealing to snobs, what I said is true.
