Concerned Neighbors of Sandy Creek Road

You may not know that the West side of the Fayette By-Pass is proposed to cross Hwy 54 (at Huiet Rd., next to the BP station), go through the Cat Care Veterinary Clinic, come behind the hospital, cross the south end of the Rivers farm and enter Sandy Creek Road less than a mile from Rt. 54. The purpose is to divert traffic from the southern part of the county away from Hwy 74 and GA Hwy 85.
This will, no doubt, change the quality of living along Sandy Creek Rd. in terms of noise and safety. We may, collectively, be able to get the Board of Commissioners to change this proposed route.
We need your support at the Board of Commissioner’s Meeting on Feb. 28, 2008 at 7:00 PM. We have been put on the agenda for 15 minutes to state our concerns and ask them to come up with a plan that does not impact existing citizens.
The meeting will be held at the County Complex, on the corner of GA 85 and 54 in Fayetteville. The Meeting Room is the last room on the left, if you are facing the complex (closest to GA 85) on the first floor.

When is the South Fayette Bypass going to be discussed?? This bypass isn't even necessary!

It will go from Riverdale to Nowhere, cutting through beautiful green space along the Clayton County line. Why?

The South Fayette Bypass is not going to help Hwy 85 downtown Fayetteville. That is what Jeff Davis is there for. The people that are clogging downtown Fayetteville are not going to Inman/Woolsey/or Hwy 92. They are going to Starrs Mill/Brooks/South PTC. The South Fayette Bypass project must be abandoned. It makes no sense for now or for the future of our rural green space lovely county.
