Starr’s Mill gets knocked out of region tournament by Creekside

Tue, 02/12/2008 - 7:53pm
By: Michael Boylan

The Starr’s Mill Panthers played the Creekside Seminoles close for almost the entire first half of their game this evening, but Creekside went on a tear in the third quarter, scoring 11 points in one minute during one outburst, and won the game easily, 69-47.

“We knew a slower pace of game would help us,” said Coach Brandon Hutchins, whose young team led 10-9 at the end of the first quarter. “We also knew that if Kevin Murphy (Creekside’s leading scorer) got hot, we’d be in trouble.”

Murphy finished with a game high 27 points. Starr’s Mill got 11 points from both Justin Smith and Mark Conard, while Andrew Davis chipped in eight.

It's okay to admit once in a while that you've erred. We promise it won't kill you. In spite of the fact that you never acknowledge a mistake, it would do you no harm in admitting to a mistake on occasion. Never-the-less do not fret..... I can promise you that no one would think any less of you. Smiling

I'll make a deal with ya: we'll both go and ask Michael Boylan if the final score was included in the original post.

If he says yes, I will apologize to both you and TruthSleuth.

If he says no, then you and TruthSleuth can apologize to me.

Deal or no deal?

Are you in on this wager?

We'll all ask Boylan to confirm or deny that he added the final score after I posted my question.

If Boylan confirms that he did, you'll say "I apologize sniffles, I was in error."

If Boylan denies that he did, I will cheerfully say "I apologize TruthSleuth, I was in error."

You in?

I will apologize now.

This entire (one sided) argument has no relevance other than the that you believe yourself to be "The keeper of the 'Truth'" that muddle so succinctly pointed out.

It is both humorous and easy to watch you react Eye-wink So, in order to model effective practice and to humble myself:

Dear Sniffles, I apologize for wrongly pointing out the score as posted in the basketball article. You could very well be correct and the score may have been added later. I should have somehow known that (if you are correct) and not had the sheer gall to point out the score. I stand corrected and I apologize.

In addition, I was wrong and apologize for cutting and pasting figures from an email that were, as you correctly pointed out, partially inaccurate. You were correct when you said that more military deaths have occurred during Bush's first six years than Clinton's first six years (by nearly 500 per year). It was wise of you to argue that point while ignoring the others (specifically that the polls you quoted in the past have changed and now show the military, which is a majority Republican, have more troops supporting the Iraq war and George W. Bush than not supporting him.) You are indeed a brilliant man who has been caught in the trappings of self aggrandizement; however, the smartest thing I have seen you do thus far is ignore Denise's blog and the embedded statistics located here:

Denise Conner and facts

Thank you for being here by the way. We all need to see the intolerance of the left to be effectively reminded that everyone isn't as open minded as a good American moderate or conservative.

Now that you have seen what an apology looks like, perhaps you will explain this: More sources of Sniffles anger

So, do you accept my apologies JeffC/Sniffles5?

I have no problem admitting when I'm wrong. However, I didn't say you were wrong on Michael's article. I just commented on how you refuse to ever acknowledge when you've been had. That's the comment I stand by.

Remember, I've apologized to you a couple of times. Yet, I desire not your apologies. I desire to see you admit when your butt has been nailed to the wall.

Here's something to tide you over in the interim, Git. From earlier tonight, regarding apologies:

"Unlike many posters here (particularly those suffering from parataxic distortion) I readily admit to errors of fact."

Do you readily admit to errors of plagiarism? Or multiple identities? Laughing out loud

Jeff C: "I would be interested in why my posting was duplicated by him/her ["Sniffles"] also. I believe we are owed an explanation of some kind."

There seems to be a lot of "if you apologize", "I apologize" going on here lately.

As I my self have been rather uncivilized on here lately I would like to suggest that we all take a min to view each-others position(s) from the "other side" as it were.

I'll start, recently I've been an 'ass', to Father Epps in particular, to certain posters.

I will from now on try to tone it down, just a little.

Your thoughts?

Mostly I'm mean to criminals, mcBULLY, and our certain city officials for conduct unbecoming.

I'm not apologizing.

In fact if anything I've been holding back so I don't get booted off of here.

First an apology to Father Epps et al, and then you ACTUALLY communicated with bpr?

The 3 shot bolt action version, I think it's the M71, is yours.

The scope is an option of unspecified cost.

The Barrett M82A150BMG is just under $10,000.
